Twice my new kenmore microwave has just started beeping with the error code E11 appearing on the screen.Have to unplug it to stop it. WHat is going on?

I think this microwave oven uses an inverter to control the power output of the magnetron. Usually the microwave will advertise this feature with a trade name like "accu-wave" or "true-power" or some similar label on the front of the microwave. Assuming that is the case here, then the E11 error means a bad inverter

9Fp and microwave cuts off

F-9 means the inverter board has failed. A bad magnatron can also cause this code. Recommend replace the Mag. and inverter board.

UNIT POWERS OFF AND DISPLAYS "F-9"

an inverter failure. This can sometimes by caused by a power surge or glitch through the electrical lines. You can sometimes clear this fault by completely unplugging the microwave for 1 minute. Plug it back in and see if the fault code returns. If it does, then you have an internal component failure that will need to be serviced by a technician. Microwaves must be serviced by technicians due to the inherent dangers involved in repairing these appliances. Internal capacitors can retain a lethal electrical charge even though the unit is completely unplugged. A microwave radiation leakage test must be performed on the unit following any internal component repair

F-9 Error code

The F9 error code indicates a failed inverter. If resetting the unit does not help you will need to have the inverter & harness checked.

A microwave radiation leakage test must be performed on the unit following any internal component repair.

It does not ALWAYS indicate a inverter control board problem however in other brands/models.
LG's service manual (for an example) suggests the f-9 code could be due to line voltage, magnetron, inverter module, "Relay2", or a loose connection between door/magnetron/control pcb.
Other indications might help narrow down these choices before having to pull out your multimeter and crack open the microwave case.
For example, if the microwave works, but heats slowly, then the troubleshooting manual narrows your choices down to magnetron or line voltage problems, and pretty much rules out the other possibilities.

Kenmore ultra elite microwave hood combination

F9 code can mean something different depending upon the particular model.....
1.) IF your Microwave uses "UltraWave technology"/"SmartWave technology"...Then either the Magnetron has failed or the Inverter board has failed OR maybe the control board has failed (HUH?).
2.) IF your Microwave does NOT use "UltraWave technology"/"SmartWave technology" then one or more of the door switches has failed.

** "UltraWave technology"/"SmartWave technology" **
I'll explain a few things about this wonderful technology...
The control board (accepts the pushbutton commands) has to talk to the inverter board to tell it how much power should be applied to the magnetron. The inverter board will then power the magnetron and inform the control board if the magnetron is working OK.
If there is something wrong with the magnetron or inverter board or a there is a communication breakdown between the control board and the inverter board...WA-LA-----F9----

A pretty reliable test for the Magnetron is to operate the oven and listen for a ticking sound 5-6 times about a second apart. If you can hear the ticking....The magnetron has failed..if no ticking, the control or inverter board failed.

Note: This 'technology' may come in other flavors as well
