I have the philips VOIP321 for 2 years now and it was working really well with my old computer. Last month, I had to change the computer and bought an ACER and since can't get the philips phone to work. I downloaded the driver for Windows Vista but my computer just does not recognise the audio device. I have tried downloading others from Internet but the computer just won't recognise them. (and Windows does not recognise that there is a problem!).
The funny thing is that I tried to connect it to the children's computer (also an ACER) and it doesn't recognise it either! However, I friend tested the phone with his computer (not an ACER) and it works...
Does anyone know of an incompatibility for this phone with ACER computers??
Hi, I have the same phone, I also have an ACER laptop and running vista home premium.
I needed to download the vista software package from telephonesonline (it costs for the download) but no problems after that it works great.

The only thing with this particular phone is that if you have a monthly account (skype pro) and you use your package as your regular phone you need to add every phone number you call to your contact list.
I haven't found a soloution to dial out from the phone using skype with out it being in the contacts list.

I have the same problem with my new Acer computer (M5461) with Vista Home Premium Operating System. However, I previously had an Acer computer (T300) with Windows XP and there was no problem. I tried Skype helpdesk, but they said it was a problem with firewalls. I followed their instructions but still the problem persists.
