Incompatibility with ACER computers?

has the keypad got wet?.
you may end up taking the keyboard out and cleaning under it.

Shut down your computer. To do a hard shutdown hold the power button down until it turns off. You probably need it to go to last known good configuration. To to this 1. find the F8 key (keep finger on it(not pushed yet). 2. Turn Power button on and immediately start tapping F8 key. This will take you to a screen with many options; Last Known Good Configuration is one of them. It should start up. Hope this helps.

Just re-install the software again and your are done with this issue. Use the recovery disc that came with the computer or use a new Operating System disc be sure it is Windows that originally came or compatible with your computer. Then you can start fresh without any password needed until you do another one, HINT: I use my last four digits of my social so that I will never forget my password ever.

My mom has a Acer, although it is a few years old, and with her computer she had to keep it plugged in or the computer would die. It would not charge at all. She tried getting a new battery which only lasted a few months before she had the problem again, then she got a new power cord. She eventually found a section where she could recalibrate the battery which has helped although the battery will only last for a few hours.
If your computer won't even turn on then it sounds like you might need a new battery and/or powercord. Also, make sure the computer isn't really cold or hot (I know with my gateway that if the computer is cold or hot then it won't turn on at all, regardless of charge). I hope this helps a little. The only other thing that I can think of is if the laptop overheating and something happened with the motherboard or something of that sort, which in that case you are probably better off buying a new computer.

Why do you replace it? Is the date / hour wrong after a shutdown? 4 months? It should last 4 years or more... Something's really wrong with the board. check capacitors too.

It's turns blue to power safe mode (yellow) it's prevent futher damaged to your monitor. It's seems you got a busted backlight inverter. Need to replaced a new one...Since you only got it for a few months, send it back to Acer for a replacement of a new backlight inverter... Have a nice day!
