SOURCE: line not assigned

Somewhere, floating around, is a TDA Users manual. Program 19 and 20 deal with Idle line preference out and in. You could have a couple of things going on, one is that you lost your ILP, or the line assigned to it is no longer there. If it's the former, try this:

PROG 19 0 is no line 1 is Idle CO 2 + a button is that line, and 3 is intercom. Press STORE after the sequence and try it.
Worst case is you do 19 3 and get it to the intercom on idle.

For incoming PROG 20 0 is none, 1 is longest ringing, and 2 plus a line is to prefer that line, used when you have a private or semi-private line that you need to answer. Again, press STORE to save your selection.

SOURCE: How do I get "call pickup" to work on a KXTES-824?

Two of the above codes work for me, so let's figure out what you're doing. First of all, did you convert the intercom calls to ringing on all calls? If I have auto answer turned on, I can't pick up anything.

If the phone is ringing, I can use 40 and 41xx to pick it up. I can retrieve a call from hold by dialing 53x where x is the line number on hold (just in case you're trying this with a cordless or single line set).

By default, all extensions are in pickup group 1, but 41xx directed call pickup will always work if the Call pickup deny is properly set as you indicated

How to save number in kx-t7730

Press program, and one of the 12 right side buttons. Dial 9 + number and STORE. This assumes that your dial "'9" gives you an outside line. If it doesn't, read about system programming and 400 where you assign the lines to be active or disabled. A "9" should give you dial tone as well as 81, 82, 83 etc. Instructions are in the OM of a TA-824 or the Users guide of a TA-624.

I have a kx-t7731 panasonic phone system. How can I tell how many phone lines I can have?

You have a 7731 PHONE. The system it's connected to has a model number as in TA 624 TA 824 TAW 848 etc. The first digit (or digits) tell you how many phone lines you can have, but you may not have all of the hardware to make it happen. An 824 has 8 lines, but they come in 3x8, 3x8 and 2x8 cards that fit into the cabinet. A 624 has the capacity for 2 3x8 cards but can have 3,5 or 6 lines, depending on the cards installed.

How do I set up my voice mail or know if I can acquire messages? I have a Panasonic KX-T7731 phone system!

You have a 7731 phone. The phone system could be any one of 18 Panasonic cabinets, but probably a TA series. Voice mail could be a BV, TVx box, or central office based. If CO based, an 824 will listen for the stutter dial tone and light the MW light on a phone. There are instructions to make that work.

So, try editing your question to give a bit more information and it makes it easier to give you an answer.

Verizon voice mail notification on panasonic kx-t7735 phones

Wow. It's customary to start with and understand the manual to your phone system. CO message waiting is done on a TA-824 system. I'm guessing that Verizon uses stutter dial tone and those options are turned on via the 3.4 section of the maintenance tool or programs 435, 436 and 437.

If any of the above is foreign to you, then you need to either call your dealer or start reading.

Where can I find the overlay sheet for the kx-T 7730?

For programming try page 14 of the programming manual. It explains the button functions but no picture of the overlay http://www.public.carl.airpost.net/Pana/TA-824/300_TA_PM_07-04.pdf
This is for a TA-824 one of the 18 or so phone systems that the 7730 works on.

For printing your own cut-out buttons, try this excel spreadsheet. http://www.public.carl.airpost.net/Pana/77xx%20labels.xls

I have attached this cordless to KX-TA824 supporting 2 incoming lines. How can I select which line (CO 1 or CO 2) to call from?

If you start with intercom dial tone, press 81 or 82. If you dial 9 you'll get line 2 before line 1 in normal programming, and if you dial a line that's busy with 8x access codes, you'll get a busy, even if the other line is free.

Of course, you could also RTFM and program the system to function with your TA-824 http://public.carl.airpost.net/Pana/TA-824/UG_TA_0823%5B1%5D.pdf
Starting on page 15 or so of the pdf, after you set up the keys, you'd press the > and 1 or 2 to get to lines 1 or 2 :-)

I need to know how can i delete my voice messages, cause in the screen says my mail is full.

LOL! Now I know what you're talking about. You must have a Panasonic TA-824 system with BV (the built in voicemail system).

If you have a Features Manual, look at page 15. Here's a copy on my website http://public.carl.airpost.net/Pana/TA-824/400_TA_FM_07-04.pdf

Dialing 725 will get you to the BV system. Someone has filled up the message box. All those calls you get after hours will fill up the common mailbox, so someone needs to clean that box out on a hourly or daily basis. Search the file for 725 and you'll get the table that gives you instructions. The Operating Manual (OM) has specific user instructions, starting with page 36. It involves a 725 2 sequence with 3 pause 3 erasing messages. Read the section carefully, because if you mess up you will erase ALL messages.

Here's the link to the OM if you don't have it. http://public.carl.airpost.net/Pana/TA-824/200_TA_OM_07-04%5B1%5D.pdf

When you get to 5 minutes remaining in the BV system, you should have heard a funny dial tone. I'm not exactly sure if it would have been on all phones, or just the operator phone and the phone with a full mailbox. We have never installed one on a TA system in 5 years :-)

I need help programming the phone to pick up CO1

This is a guess because you still didn't tell me what system you're connected to. On an idle phone, try pressing PROGRAM 131 STORE. In a TA-824, that makes you select line 1. If it's busy, nothing happens.

Have a new all in one printer (print, fax, scan and copy) feature

Here's where a Panasonic TA-824 would work great. At a street price of about $200, you can control your 3 lines and up to 8 extensions, one of them being your fax machine that would have access from both lines, and an answering machine that could take messages.

Some of the fax machines can detect a fax tone on a phone line, so you could have the answering machine answer the call and you tell them to press send (or it listens for a CNG tone, but the fax machine is limited to only one line.
