The dryer does not turn on or anything. It was working fine then nothing. It didnt even squeek before. Its 6 years old and has never had a problem before.

I know this is basic, but did you check the circuit breaker and make sure you have power? Did you make sure that the door was closed all the way? Do you hear any clicks when you push the start button.

Any indication you can provide will enable us to zero in on the problem for you.

Start button does not work on our Asko t720 dryer

if you get a light on the main power switch, then it might be overheat cut-off switch wich has been activated. This is located outside on the back of the machine. a rubber button aprox in the middle, you must push this, and hear a 'click'. it might be a solution.

Dryer won't start when pushing the button it clicks

Could be a broken belt if you hear motor, also can be defective door switch. you can try pushing door switch with finger and press button If motor does not make a sound and pressing door switch does nothing you will need a volt meter and test for power if you hear moter then its broken belt or jambed drum. Try and manually move drum

Dryer will not start

There is a start relay on the computer control board. You probably hear a very dull click. That click is the relay on the computer board trying to engage, but it won't and therefore your dryer won't spin and your board sends a beep and perhaps an "E11" error code to the LED display (Not sure on Kenmores.).

In plain english, you have a bad control board now and will have to replace it. Cost about $130.

Fuse

Your belt is broken, the click that you hear is a centrifugal switch that shunts your start button, so we know the motor is running. Check your belt.
