Hello, usually this is a sign of a bad blower relay on the intergrated control board. The only option is to replace the control board.

If you are running it in the cooling function, your drain maybe backed up. Find your drain outside if you can and suck it with a shop vac.

This is nothing short of a circuit board fan relay of a bad motor.. to find out if the motor is good, unplugg the black & white wire , in which white =ground black=hi-speed 120volts and conect them to power -ground and see if the motor works..if does, then its the fan circuit board if not then its a bad motor...

SOURCE: Carrier Weathermaker SX model 58SX060-CC Blower runs all the time

Remove all power from the furnace, it is likely the brain in the furnace is need of being reset, from the battery replacement, why did you change the battery, was there an indicator telling you to change it?

Many times just removing all the power to the furnace will do the trick with a reset, if not let me know and we will go from there, but it sounds like the main brain is confused or bad, more likely confused, so try the power removed first.

SOURCE: Carrier weathermaker sx 58 furnace

I have serviced these furnaces for 20 years and I can tell you most of these models did not have diagnostic lite on them. (although some did, especially if the control board has been replaced) The problem is most likely a bad 3 wire pilot. This will cause exactly what you describe. 2 things to consider though. 1, If you were to replace the pilot don't get a cheaper knockoff. In my experience these do not last long at all. Get the right one from a carrier dealer. It will cost more but be much more reliable. 2 What is the condition of the secondary heat exchanger? Most if not all of the sx series had issues with the secondary heat exchangers rotting out and leaking. If the furnace is out of warranty you would be much better replacing the furnace as the cost of replacing the secondary heat exchanger will probably be almost the same as a new furnace. ( those babies are EXPENSIVE!)

I have a honeywell thermostat, It keeps blowing even when I try to turn it off. Could you please tell me what is wrong with it? And can I fix it myself?

Do the easy stuff first! Is this a new install or has it been working well for a time and now it is not? Is the entire unit continuing to run or just the fan? Thermostats generally turn the unit on and off when the desired temp is reached but the fan itself (not the compressor or heat strips) typically operates in 3 modes, off, on or auto. check the fan setting.

Are the tips of the flame blue? You might need to adjust the air mixture sleeve on the burner.

Honeywell Chronotherm iv fan keeps running even when heat and cool turned off. How do I turn it off?

Assuming you have the fan switch of your thermostat in AUTO, it sounds like a stuck Fan Relay. If the fan relay is stuck, your fan will continue to run as long as there is line voltage being fed to your unit. This relay could be an independent component or it could be an integral part of your control board. Have an experienced, qualified service technician check it out.

Furnace runs constantly since blower motor was replaced

Sounds like they wired it direct to line voltage , it should run through a sequencer or fan relay to cycle on and off , your seq./relay could be stuck closed to but unlikely being it was just repaired , call the service company back before you do anything they are responsible.

Your blower motor may have failed. Check the blower motor for the air circulation and you may find it is hot but not running. Have the motor replaced if this is the case.
