Question about Dell M209X Ultra Mobile Projector Projector

M209X Dell lamp not comming on. Replaced the lamp and still nothing. Help?

The projector stopped working. Thought it was the lamp so we replaced it with the back up. This did not work. The fan starts up but no light comes on and it sounds like it tries to come on but then it dies and the amber light bulb sign comes on.

The amber light stays on permanently. There is no light coming trough the lens at all. I cleaned the projector inside and still nothing.

You can reset the projector to factory defaults. Here is a link to the manual:

Could be just 180degrees out of phase on the motor spindle and sensor or damage caused by broken material from the old wheel.

Sir, i have dell 1209s projector. when i turn it on, it works only for 5-10 min. with flickering image. after that two red lights comes on the buttons. plz help me

It may be a faulty lamp module, Have you replaced the lamp at all. It may be at the end of its life.

More likley to have shorted out transistors in the backlight inverter circuits.
If you are going to DIY and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on:
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply (they should be replaced in a set), blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). Hi', have a problem with my dell 17" monitor. 'tis a e173fpc. green light would come for a split second then off. opened up . saw nothing physically wrong. please advise.

Check the fuse, transistors, solder joints (use magnifier), caps. Or replace the board if the lamps are good after testing.

try loosening the screws that hold the lamp in, there is a possible short in the encasement.

DELL 2300 MP NOT TURNING ON

Have the same problem here. Have two of these units. Took the bulb out of the one that had the Lamp light on, and put it in the other projector. The other projector worked perfectly. I have three bulbs, they all work in the one projector, they all cause Lamp Light in the other one. The manual states nothing about hard resetting the unit. Also note that, the fans do not power up instantly on power on, they come on about 5 seconds after pressing the power button.
