SOURCE: Can I adjust the volume on my GE Networx NX-148E

There are a couple of things you can do, you can silence the keypad via a programming change to the alarm panel, but this requires knowing the installer or 'go' code. On the other hand, you can change the tone of the keypad by pressing * 0 and using the arrow keys to adjust the tone up and down.

Need Manuel for GE security keypad model # 422-2195 REV B

I don't think we will be able to locate a manual just for the keypad - is there a name or model # for the entire system? Like an NX-# or a Caddx designation?

Keypad message reading 12volt low battery on three wireless zones. changed out all batteriies and still getting message.

This could be referring to your battery backup for the control panel. Make sure your battery connections are secure and check the batteries' voltage with a multimeter. If it is showing less than 12 volts and has been connected to the control panel for more than 24 hours, the battery is bad and needs replacement. Contact your local alarm company and ask them verify the battery is bad, and they can install a new one for you right then.

If the power was out for 5 hours and the control panel still shows 'low battery', it's probably time to replace the battery for the control panel. However, this shouldn't keep the alarm panel from arming up. I would first try to re-start the control panel by removing the power and battery connection for a few seconds and plugging it back in. After that, it would be a good idea to re-enroll all of your attached sensors, etc. by entering into programming mode and exiting. Press * 8 + {go code} then just press exit. The default 'go' code is 9713. After about 15 seconds, the panel will have auto-enrolled each attached device. Try arming and disarming the panel. Be careful of setting off the alarm, as your monitoring station may dispatch police, etc. in the event of alarm. This is why having a certified alarm installer do this work is a good idea, as they can put your account with the monitoring station on 'test' so alarm signals are recorded for testing purposes but are not acted upon.

This could be a supervision problem. If zone expanders, gsms, keypads, etc. are added to this alarm panel, you must enroll the device with the control panel. This is done by entering into programming mode ( * + 8 + {go code} ) and then simply exiting programming mode by hitting the exit button. The GE NetworX control panel and it's affiliated compatible devices will auto-enroll after about 15 seconds. The default 'go' code is 9713, but this is usually changed by the alarm company installer.
