SOURCE: need fuel mix ratio & plug gap 4 husky 154 sg

Hi there, No problem.
Recommended fuel mix ration if using Husqvarna brand premium Two-Stroke Oil is 50:1. If using another two-stroke air cooled engine oil, you should use 25:1 fuel:oil ratio.

Regading the spark plug, the recommended plug is a Champion RCJ7Y with a plug gap of 0.5mm (or 0.020 inches).

SOURCE: Husqvarna 55 chainsaw won't stay running.

It has a crack in the fuel line between the body and the tank. The crack lets air in the line. Replace the line.

SOURCE: Husqvarna chainsaw 440e - enough chain lube?

That seems low to me. Page 15 in your manual is the only oil discussion I found. Usually there is an oil pump adjustment reference somewhere. I didn't see one beyond return it for service on page 15. Are the chain and bar hot after cutting a while? I recommend you not get a longer bar without an oiler adjustment. I think the hand of the EPA has been here.

An IPL (exploded parts list) for a 440 can be found here:
http://weborder.husqvarna.com/order_static/doc/USA/2009/I09000/I0901018.pdf
There is no oiler adjuster listed. HTH

Might be a good idea to copy the IPL,

SOURCE: what is fuel oil mix for the 136

Page 8 of your manual says 40:1 (3.2oz/1gal) Stihl or Husqvarna 2 cycle oil.
HusqvarnaUSA.com
http://www.husqvarna.com/us/homeowner/support/download-manuals/
Enter the 3 digit model number (no XPs, Es, just the numbers)
Serial number decode – for use with IPL
06 1500198
06 = year produced – 2006 (single digit before 2000)
15 = week produced - March
00198 = 198th unit Husky produced that week

Fuel/Oil Mixture

  1. Use a quality 2 cycle oil and mix it to the OIL supplier's recommended ratio. Today I use Stihl 2 cycle oil mixed @ 50:1 in a Pioneer that I purchased new in 1980. There are no gouges or scratches on the piston or cylinder and I have no carbon build up on the piston top. The manual (on stone tablets) recommends 24:1. Over the years the mixture has leaned from 24:1 (Saw Recommendation) to 28:1 (Lawn boy mower recommendation) to 32:1 (Oil provider 8oz/2gal - used for many years) and finally the last 5 (±) years 50:1 (Stihl 2.6oz/1gal)
  2. Any fuel containing ethanol is not good with chainsaws. Mix what you expect to use within a few months. Anything over 3 months old use up in a 4 cycle engine. HTH

Husky 268 will not start

There is a number of things an engine needs to run,clean fuel getting to the engine, a good spark, adequate compression and an air tight engine, if there is an issue with any of these the engine will struggle to run, so remove the muffler and take a look at the condition of the piston face through the open port, any sign of scuffing and the cylinder will need to be removed and the damage assessed, check there is a spark at the plug by removing the plug and resting against the cylinder, crank the engine to check for a spark, does the plug get wet with fuel after attempting to start, if not we have fuel starvation, possibly stale fuel, blocked fuel filter, broken fuel hose, a pressure test of the engine is more a shop check.

Trying to find the correct compression for a Husqvarna 455 Rancher chainsaw?

you wont... as per husky anything under 110 would be suspicious. I have seen those saws with the lower piston ring gummed up from a rich fuel mixture.

  • The hose in the tank with the filter on the free end connects directly to the carburetor input connection.
  • If the saw is equipped with a primer bulb, the output line from the carburetor connects to the suction side of the primer (once the bulb is collapsed it draws fuel from the tank through the carburetor to refill as it inflates).
  • The pressure side of the primer returns displaced fuel to the tank as it is depressed.
Take lots of notes and a few digital photographs to help with reassembly. HTH

Is there a hose that attaches to gas tank vent on husqvarna 345 e chainsaw

You can find an answer to your question here:
HusqvarnaUSA.com
http://www.husqvarna.com/us/homeowner/support/download-manuals/
Uncheck "Manuals" check "Illustrated parts lists"
I think your answer is on detail "J"
pns 503 60 04-01 and 501 62 98-01.
All fuel system components can be found on these illustrations. I wish Husqvarna included nomenclatures but they don't. Your local Husky may be able to verify by telephone these are indeed your fuel vent.

Enter the 3 digit model number (no XPs, Es, just the numbers)
Serial number decode – for use with IPL
06 1500198
06 = year produced – 2006 (single digit before 2000)
15 = week produced - March

It might be a good idea to save a copy of both your Manual and the IPL to your computer. HTH

How interchangeable are replacement chain bars for older Husqvarna chainsaws? I've never replaced one before and was considering buying one from Sherril on-line which is on sale, a 14 inch Husqvarna Intenz...

Your question can't be answered as aked.
If your saw requires an Intenz 14" Bar it's Oregon pns 140SDET041 or 140GPET041. Part number 140SDEA041 if not Intenz.
Plug in your requirements here:
Oregon Bar & Chain Selector
http://www.oregonchain.com/commonpgm/Selguide_Selctmfg.asp?BusId=OCS&SellReg=USA&LangId=ENG&ShowRem=Y&ShowAnsi=Y&ShowQuality=Y&ShowCombo=Y&usertype=OCC
Once you get a part number it can easily be converted to other manufacturers numbers. HTH

Ive just bought a husqvarna 34 husky is this the model number 34? its serial number is 016810 but i cannot find details of it anywhere an want a manual can you tell me mixture also its my first chainsaw,...

Get Chain lube for the chain oiler. Naturally, husqvarna recommends that you use "genuine husqvarna" oil for your mixture, I recommend a quality oil, doesn't have to be husky. Husqvarna recommends a 50:1 ratio, other manufacturers, of vertually all 2 cycle power equiptment use a 40:1 ratio. This mixture is slightly richer, but will not hurt your chainsaw. May produce a bit more smoke. Not sure what a 34 husky is...neither is Husqvarna, I visited the website and even tried to download a manual. Looked at every husky model, no 34.

Husqvarna chainsaw repair

Usually empty fuel, use hook to pull out line , remove filter. Remove air filter cover and airfilter ,now you should be able to see line. Most just pull of carby and go through tank, some you may have to take screws out of av mounts in back of tank to see hole to put it back in.cheers hope this helps if where a stihl i could tell exactly.
