We came home from a weekend and the door glass was shattered! I guess that I need to replace the whole door? I can't seem to find out how to remove the door from the microwave in order to fix it. Is there a schematic to help in removal? Thanks! Mike P.S. Model number is jvm1860sf001

I have two thoughts, both guesswork based on knowledge gained by researching answers here on Fixya.
If you removed the door completely, the safety microswitches need re-adjusting. The door and hinges usually has three or sometimes 4 to make it impossible to use the oven with the door open.
Or, modern ovens have a safety catch under the glass edges that won't allow the oven to work if there is NO glass on the inside, or no glass on the outside. In other words, there must be 2 (or 3) panes of glass to stop children, old folks and pets getting burned by door glass that is the same temperature as a oven.
The final possibility is that the microwave failing is coincidental and not related to the door glass being replaced!
Usually if this model stops after approx 3 secs it is an invertor or mag fault. Check that the aerial cover is clean Page 3 of the breakdown part position 315. If this is really grubby it would be the cause of the door shattering. The PTC is not used on the microwave function so may be an additional fault. Check also the alignment of the door switches as this can also cause a similar fault. My best guess is if you remove the mag, you'll probably find scorching on it and it (and the invertor) will need replacing.
There's a safty switch which prevents the unit from operating if the door isn't fully closed. When the glass shattered a small piece may have blocked the switch from operating properly. Check around the door seals for any irregularities.
The manuals have exploded views, part numbers, and disassembly info.
The best place to order
parts for this brand is Encompass (formerly Tritronics).
Or you can call them toll-free at 866-779-5835. You have to separate the door panels (as shown in the attached photo)
and then you'll see the previously hidden screws you need to remove.
Or you can watch a YouTube video (not a video I
made) that demonstrates how it's done.
