I have a Denon AVR-1803 with a denon DVD-1600 connected to Boston Acoustic speakers. I am getting static from the right front speaker. I have changed the speakers over and the plugs and still get static from the right front ports no matter what speaker is plugged into this port. I took the amp into my supplier and he could not get the problem to occur in the workshop. I thought I could have had a problem with an input cable but even when I remove the cables from all input components so that there is nothing plugged in except the speaker cables I still get the static in the right front speaker. The static does not change with volume except when the volume control is turned down to zero then static stops. Some times the static will start when I turn the unit on. At other times it does not occur until the unit has warmed up. I also have a problem with intermittent crackling when I play CD's from my DVD player. This crackling does not seem to occur from any other component.
The noise is in the pre-amp stages of the Denon AVR. It might be caused by bad capacitors.

Hello, I think that you've got a problem in the relay circutry or a logic problem. tell ya what I ve got the service manual and schematic for the reciever. the engineers at denon where ahead of there time when this company started. they designed the equipment around what they wanted the specs to be for signal to noise and discrete audio channels. each of the sound channels from the component and composite inputs is given its own bus and amplifier channels. these paths are also common to the reciever/tuner outputs. one question though you mentioned that the composite/component video paths are not switching from the input to the output youve designated, and that the monitor checks good. do you have another video source,either digital or analog that you can input throgh another channel to see if it is infact a switching problem. try that and let me know. I can give you help with the switching circutry form the schematic if need be. believe me I know It took me about a week to track down the service schematic for this unit. Denon doesn't like giving out info unless you are an authorized repair center.

check your speaker wires make sure none are touching each other this will cause a short and shut the reciever down

It may may the the AT+T box is really not compatible with the AVR or the Pioneer.
Check the specs on those input/outputs for the Ubox and the receiver.
See if they agree. If so, try another hookup method like HDMI ( which carries the audio too)

Hi, this is a power board issue. remove the cover and make sure that this unit doesn't have blow fuse. if the fuse is fine, you will then need to replace the integrated power/ main board.

I took the unit back to the supplier but they couldn't find the problem
They sent it back to their supplier who were able to fix it.
The repair account says "Traced fault to leaky signal diodes on CNT PCB assy. Replaced diode and resoldered suspect dry joints".
All is now OK.

Ok my dvd,cd car receiver is a xovision model x01915bt with static just on the right channel that just ocurr when the detachable face is closed. This doesn't hapen when I open the face to load the cd,dvd,etc. This static doesn't change as the volume is up or down and goes away just with all the volume down. Looks like the problem is caused by the detachable face; but I hope some one help me out with this. Thanks.
