This watch does not have the typical date much like a Rolex would have but rather a "red arrow" points at a date on the dial that moves everyday just like the minute or hour hand. I can't figure out how to change the date forward? Also, would like to know how to change the day of the week and the month. Pulling the dial out one click and rolling forward or backward does not work? Broken? This watch does not have the typical date much like a Rolex would have but rather a "red arrow" points at a date on the dial that moves everyday just like the minute or hour hand. If you change the date between those hours, and the watch is set for the correct time, it may automatically roll the date forward yet again. It could mess up the internal mechanism for changing the date. The date starts to change around 11:45 PM and can take a good long while for it to fully "engage" the new date, which is why they say to wait til 2:00 AM. The internal mechanics that change the date are very sensitive. If you force it to change the date while it is automatically trying to change it, it can off-set the little gears and they may not function correctly in the future. So just make sure the time on the watch is not between 11:45 PM and 2:00 AM when you change it. The best thing to do is to change the date to the day PRIOR to the day you want (for example today is the 21st, set it to the 20th, then advance the hour / minute hands past midnight so it automatically rolls into the 21st, and then you will know if you are on AM or PM).....
But just avoid setting it between 11:45 PM and 2:00 AM as they mention.

To set the digital time and date on your Timex, please follow the steps below.
1. Press and hold the "Set" button for 2 seconds. The "Set" button is on the lower right side.
2. Press the "Date Advance" button on the upper right side. This will reset the seconds.
3. Press the "Change Mode" button on the lower left to set the hour. The hour will flash. Press the "Date Advance" button until the correct hour is displayed.
4. Press the "Change Mode" button again to set the correct 10s unit (first digit 1 or 0) for the minutes. Press the "Date Advance" button until the correct first digit of the minutes is displayed. Repeat this step to set the second digit of the minutes.
5. Repeat Steps 1 through 4 of this section to set the year, month, date and day and whether to use 12- or 24-hour time for your watch.
6. When finished, press the "Set" button (on the lower right) to return to the current time view and lock in your settings.
Do as follows: 1) At any time of the day pull the crown out and advance watch hands forward for EXACTLY 12 hours ( for example: if it's 6.35 on your watch, then after advancing hands it will be 6.35 again, just minute hand will be forwarded clockwise 12 full circles, while hour hand will be forwarded 1 full circle). Push the crown back in. 2) Pull the crown out to the date setting position and change to the desired date. Pull the crown back in. Now your watch will be changing dates at midnight continuosly.
When yoy pull out the crown you will notice there are two clicks. You have to pull out crown to the first click only and then adjust a date by turning the crown. Rate me, please.

mcdevito75 here, The manufacturer recommends you don"t try to change the date between certain hours as this could hurt the date changeing mechanism inside the watch, I don"t think you did any harm (LUCKY) and the date changeing 45 minutes before mid nite is just about right. BUT! if the date change was aliitle closer to mid nite at 1 time you can try to reset the date, here"s how, your stem should have 2 positions to change the date without haveing to cycle the watch the 24 hours 60 times. Slip a finger nail just under the crown and gently, gently lift the crown to it:s first position, it may take a little practise but you"ll get it, once you do, trun the crown and you should see the DATE change, if so set the DATE to 1 DATE before the DATE you want, now pull the stem out and set the correct gate and time of day. Your watch is now reset and date will change on time, around nid nite.
