YOU GO ON SAFE MODE AND CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT . TO GO IN SAFE MODE PRESS F8 BUTTON WHILE BOOTING WINDOWS. ONCE IN SAFE MODE CRATE A NEW ACCOUNT, THEN RESTART THE PC. ONCE YOU RESTART LOG ONTO THE NEWLY CREATED ACCOUNT AND GO:
CONTROL PANEL> ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS> COMPUTER MANAGEMENT> ON LEFT SIDE SELECT LOCAL MANAGEMENT AND GROUP>THEN SELECT USERS>THEN U WILL SEE LIST OF USERS .
RIGHT CLICK THE USER U NEED TO RESET PASSWORD THEN SELECT ALL TASK SET PASSWORD>CLICK PROCEED> THEN LEAVE NEW PASSWORD AND CONFIRM PASSWORD BLANK THATS ALL

restart your computer in safe mode, use f7, f9, etc depending on the one that will make your system show, start window normally, safe mode and safe mode with command prompt etc. scroll to select safe mode and u will be loged on as an administrator log in and go to control panel, select user account then you can decide which password to disable or change. at times it might not work just go to google search for sams administrative password removal and u will be guided on step by step on how to make a password removal bootable cd, thanks

Start it in the regular safe mode, log in as administrator, from here you can clear any user passwords.

I'm afraid without the password reset floppy disk youre out of luck. They have a recovery program for Windows XP on the Microsoft website.

safe mode will open windows with minimal amount of drivers, but will still require a password. Safe mode with command prompt will open in a simulated dos mode, and you can type "explorer" at the command prompt to open the gui and get to the start menu. buty this may not help.

i have sucessfully removed administrator password from windows by taking the hard drive out and installing it in another system as a secondary hard drive. i then manually deleted the "sam" file from windows/system32.

you can also reset the password by reinstalling windows or performing a second, parallel, installaation of windows (identical OS) on the same drive, and then deleting the second installation.
