SOURCE: mitsubishi rear projection tv color problem

I'm going to guess that this unit is a DLP projection set and that the lamp is not new. Try a new lamp. The heat of the lamp will char over time. If not the lamp, some of the internal filters in the light engine might be getting effected by heat and require replacement.

Keep us posted.

SOURCE: i have a 62 inch mitsubishi dlp model#wd-62525 serial#125902 , tv will not power up it has a flashing green lite below the timer button that flashes,i have try the reset button but it just starts blin

if the light just constantly blicks green and doesnt stop. You will need the" V26 DM repair kit " which will usually repair that issue. You can get the repair kit at the following link which includes the replacement capacitor and instructions

I have a list of problems common to this series here:

Cause #1
1. (Lamp may light and go out) suspect bad lamp part # 915P020010 2. Check for
12-volts DC at J-9 connector pin 4 on the Engine Driver PCB, if missing check
for an open F9A09 on the Power PCB, if it is open replace F9A09 part #
283P127060 and the Light Engine part # 939P977010 3. (Lamp may light and go out)
Check for 5-volts DC at J-9 connector pin 1 and 2 on the Engine Driver PCB if
low or missing check C9A37 and C9A38 both 3300 UFD 10 V part # 181P732040 on the
Power PCB (part # 930B921002) 4. At power on the lamp turns on and off three
times and then the unit shuts down with a red lamp LED (lamp error). Replace the
Light Engine part # 939P977010 5. Lamp enable line at J14 pin 6 does not switch
to 5 volts after turn on, 12 and 5 volt supplies are good. Suspect the Light
Engine part # 939P977010 6. Lamp enable line at connector J14 pin 6 on the
Engine Driver PCB switches to 5 volts after turn on and does go to 0-volts (low)
after 5 seconds, 12 and 5 volt supplies are good. Suspect the Lamp Power PCB
(ballast) part # 939P978010 7. Lamp enable line at connector J14 pin 6 on the
Engine Driver PCB switches to 5 volts after turn on but does not go back to 0-
volts (low) after 5 seconds, 12 and 5 volt supplies are good. Suspect the Light
Engine part # 939P977010

I would start with #3, checking the 5 volt line and replacing the listed capacitors if needed.
Please be sure to rate this solution. Thanks!

I have a 55 inch rear projection mitsubishi tv. it recently has started showing what looks to be white spots when viewed at a distance on a dark screen. when you look at it closely it actually is red green...

It is called Convergence. You have three CRTs. Red, blue, Green. When they are not aligned, you will see the individual colors. See if you can do some alignment in the users menu. Look for Converge or Convergence in the menu. Either under video or setup.

My 64" LCD picture has

Hello

My first question is, do you have an LCD PROJECTION (about a foot thick) or a standard LCD (couple inches thick).... If you have an LCD PROJECTION they have something called an OPTICAL BLOCK and far to many times, these blocks wear out, and change the color of the screen to a yellow green.

Depending on the age of the tv's some companys have given extended warrentys because of these blocks, but I do not pretend to know Mitsubishi's return policy.

Anyhow. the page you are looking for is

Converge off a little and screen has green tint

If you have the remote, go to the setup screen and move the picture. Converge has nothing to do with where the picture sits but, where the red, blue & green dots land. All you should see are pure white dots. There should be absolutely NO color ghost anywhere on the screen. If so, you need a bar / dot generator to set the convergence to center the dots.
