My tivme software that came with the PCI tuner card does no detect the card. I have re-installed and also have down grade my OS to xp and still does not work ....any suggestions....?

The tv tuner card is either damaged or not connected properly if the pci slot was not used for a long time use blower to remove dirt from the board and try again
Some times the shops may have accidentally exchanged the cd so look at the card and try to find any related words number (version ) and then search in google it may work

You don't need to do anything with the modem at all, other than remove it. Uninstalling the modem drivers will not affect theTV Tuner. Removing the card will disable the feature automatically, so dont worry about that.
As far as the TV tuner is concerned, just pop it in, and install the software. If the software is giving you troubles, try going to manufacturer's website and search for drivers.

The package contains an audio cable, connect the cable audio out from card to audio in of computer and connect the speakers at the same place where it is,
or you can directly get audio from tv card by connecting speakers to audio out connectors.
