Install the latest WEBcam driver.
You can download the device drivers from the Sony WEB site.

You need the Win7 camera driver, check sony support at:

just enter your Win7 operating system (there are 9 versions of Win7), and select the downloads (2)
for your computer camera driver.

i assume you upgraded the operating system to windows 7 ultimate using a retail copy of disc.
vgnfj270/b only supports windows xp and vista home basic.

Yeah.... i can understand... Simply download the drivers of your MOTION eye from the Website of Sony Vaio laptops... by doing this it will rollback the upgrade and will automatically install proper drivers needed to make it work... RATE my solution it helped you really...

Do you have windows vista, or XP? Try going under your control panel and searching under "webcam" or "camera". Also, if you go into and instant messaging system (AIM, or yahoo messenger), than you can just open up your webcam there. If you have any questions, please contact me at [email protected]. I have windows vista sony vaio vgn fe880e buying at america, but I dont have drivers of motion eye web camera

Windows Vista is not the greatest at working on proprietary machines with drivers intended for XP. Can you get a driver from SONY for the motion eye that supports VISTA? I had Vista on my new machine (Dell) for all of 3 minutes before I uninstalled it and put a brand new copy of XP on. It's stable -- and works. Vista is squirrelly.
