PROBLEMS WITH FR ERROR MESSAGE APPEARING

I HAVE HAD THE THERMOSTAT REPLACED 2 TIMES IN THE LAST 2 MONTHS. MY PROBLEMS STARTED WITH THE TOP OVEN SHOWING AN F4 MESSAGE DURING PREHEAT FOLLOWED DIRECTLY BY THE BOTTOM OVEN SHOWING F4. BOTH OVENS STOPPED WORKING. I HAVE TRIED RESETTING THE BREAKER WITH NO SUCCESS. AT TIMES BOTH OVENS WOULD SHOW F4 WITHOUT EVEN BEING TURNED ON. AFTER THE SECOND THERMOSTAT REPLACEMENT THE OVENS WORKED FOR ABOUT THREE WEEKS. NOW RIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS WHILE PREHEATING MY TOP OVEN ON PURE CONVECTION, I GET THE MESSAGE OF F4 ON THE BOTTOM OVEN DIRECTLY FOLLOWED BY THE TOP OVEN THEN IT SHUTS DOWN. I TRIED TO RESET THE BREAKER AGAIN WITH NO SUCCESS. I OPENED BOTH OVEN DOORS TO COOL THE OVEN TO RESET THEM AFTER ABOUT A HALF HOUR THE FAN FINALY SHUT OFF THEN I RECEIVED A MESSAGE OF F2? WHAT IS THAT NOW??? I'M VERY DISAPPOINTED AND MIFFED AT THE PROBLEMS.

Thanks Gendos for the advice. I had a technician come just before the Holiday and he checked everything. In the end I think it was just a crimped wire in the back of the oven indicating a runaway error. But, at the moment, everything is good. Thanks again Happy New Year.

Mewood What part did you call "thermostat"? If you?re talking about the device which operates the oven temperature, your oven does not have such thermostats. It has two oven temperature sensors (one in each oven) and a control board (ERC). An error code "F4" will be displayed along with a beeping sound if the ERC determines an open oven temperature sensor circuit. It can be the sensor itself or the wires that connect the sensor to the ERC. The F4 message will not be displayed in the time of day mode. To get access to an oven sensor and wires, the oven has to be removed from the cabinet. Then you have to remove the rear cover. Then unplug the oven sensor and check the resistance across the oven sensor. It?s supposed to be about 1100 ohms at room temperature. If the resistance is incorrect, the sensor is bad and needs to be replaced. If not, check all the wires from the oven sensor to the ERC. If it is not the sensor and wires, you have to replace the ERC, but most likely the problem is with the wires and/or connections. Part number for ERC is 62965, part number for oven sensor is 62593. Gendos....post back.

Lincoln Impinger 2 Double Conveyor oven temperature unstable

It looks like a thermostat problem, but if the thermostat had already been replaced, remain to check the valve and the pressure switches.

When the valve is defective, gas will turn off and not restart, Check and eventually replace the pressure switch , but it can also be a control problem.

Let see if I can find support and repair in your area.

Belling built in fan oven (XOU60FP)is overheating

Have same problem, I am repairing our 648HM double oven. Top oven overheats. I am an electronics engineer. I found that top oven fan has failed, this is the first thing to replace. The grill element also failed which maybe due to the overheating oven. NIGEL

Fr message for lower oven

This appears to be a communications error between the control boards. There is a test mode that you can enter from the panel, which might help you diagnose the problem further:

1. Turn power at break off. Wait a few minutes. Turn power back on.
2. Push and hold "Stop Time" key for 10 seconds
3. Now you are in test mode. You can push each button to test it's function while you hold it down.
4. Push cancel to exit test mode.

If you conclude a control board failure is the problem then we may be able to save you some money. If you can have the board removed, we repair them at www.fixyourboard.com

MAJIC CHEF DOUBLE OVEN NOT WORKING

I just had a model 976-4CX put in...I have no manual...I'm trying to find one. I thought I had a problem with the element, dial or thermostat. The bottom worked, but the top stopped working. There are 2 timers with dials next to the clock labeled Start and Stop, and Push for Manual. Come to find out my problem was solved by adjusting the Start and Stop dials and/or pushing in for manual!?!
If I had a manual I'd know how these timers worked.

Kenmore, f2

I can help but I need a model number

Kenmore are made by many different manufacturers of their appliances..

F2 error is most likely a oven sensor problem . your over sensor has to low or high Ohms or you Electromic oven control thinks it has to high of an Ohm reading. replace oven sensor and or control
let me know if this helps
