I have had this clock radio for about 2 years now. At times it will show only part of the numbers and the radio will not work. I have unplugged it and then plugged it back in and still doesn't work. But if I unplug it for a day or two and then plug it back in I have to set the time and the radio will begin working again. What is the problem?

Problem was solved. When clock was plugged in after a few more days, it finally stopped flickering and reported an incorrect time and day. Low battery was now blinking! Checked calendar and found all memory was lost. Purchased and installed a new battery and this time when clock was plugged in it correctly set itself! Fixed.

For the Clock/Radios that are having problems with the clock display and settings. You will have to reset the Clock/Radio's microprocessor. To do this you must unplug the Clock/Radio from the wall outlet and remove the internal battery. You must let the Clock/Radio set with no power for at least 1 hour to discharge the microprocessor circuits. The microprocessor should then be able to reset itself. You can then reinsert the battery and plug the Clock/Radio into the a/c wall outlet. The functions should have reset and be working normally. If this does not solve the problem, try putting in a new battery (CR2430). Before putting in the new battery, unplug the clock radio and remove the old battery and let it set again for a few hours this time to try to reset the microprocessor. If this does not solve the problem (This includes the person with the complete Clock/Radio operation failure) you can call the Emerson customer support at this telephone number 1-800-898-9020. Try hold both the time and set button for a period of 5-10 seconds and see if this will cycle the time to normal. If not try hold the set button alone for 5-10 seconds and see if this works.
