Question about Razer Radio Communications
Hi. I have a razer chimaera 5.1 wireless headset. It used to work great, but recently (weirdly) it started to turn the volume down till it gets mute by itself which makes it impossible to use if you are not willing to push volume up button every 2 seconds. The headset has analog and digital connections, and both got the same problem. I am pretty sure that it is not a stuck button problem as i can use the volume down button myself too, it looks like there is no problem with the button. The worst part is that it was a gift, i have no proof of purchase and Razer refuses to help me till i show them a receipt or something.. If you cant help me, please lead me to somewhere in Vancouver, BC to get it fixed..
Did you ever get a reply for this? I have the same issue. Sometime I'll replace the batteries or recharge it and it works great for a little while then suddenly starts auto turning the volume down...

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

Possible that the wires would have wriggled off from the jack side due to some ****. to confirm you will need to check one by one afteropening the sides, the continutiy of the wires to the jack and to the mic.
if ther is no continutiy replace the wires and jack. You can also dissect the jack to get to the problem and patch this up after finding the open wire. Ok

This is actually just the internal LED that has failed, I have seen it numerous times on this model. There is no simple way to fix it, you would have to pull apart the headphones and re-solder a new LED on the headphones. It's definitely not worth it considering the headphones appear to work just fine still.
Let me know if you have more questions about this, just reply to my answer here, but unfortunately there is no "simple" way to get those lights back on, they have essentially just burned out.
