SOURCE: 2000 Silverado daytime running lights don't work. bulbs new.

Not saying that you don't know this but the daytime lights are turned off in park.
If that is not your problem, a friend of mine uses the amber bulbs, they last longer.

SOURCE: Brake lights wont work! All others do!

I just had the same problem on my '04 Silverado. All it was was corrosion in the socket/bulb. Put some dialectic grease on both the bulbs and worked them in and out a couple of times and now they work fine. Was weird that they both went out suddenly and together but I guess they are made exactly the same.

SOURCE: dome lights won't turn off

Been having a problem with the dome lights on a 99 chevy blazer. Still can't figure out what the problem is. There is a dome light overide button located under the dimmer wheel. When I push the overide button in the dome light goes off, but when I open any of the doors the dome light will not come on. When the overide button is out the dome light stays on all the time and will not turn off even though every door is closed. I checked all the pushbuttons and everything tests good. Has anyone had this problem and know how to fix it?

SOURCE: 02 SS Monte Carlo , dash lights have quit working,

this only occured when the ambient light sensor turned on the headlights when it got to dark. if that is happening then check the headlight switch, the one that also dims the interior lights. mine had a burnt connector and fried the circuit board. replaced it and it works good. check for lose wires and connectors in there as well which likely caused the short.

I have vw 2012 jetta TDI where the running/marking lights front/rear and dashboard lights are out.

Potential foundations for light issues in 2012 VW Jetta TDI: really look at wires, assess bulbs, wiring issues, flawed light/dimmer switches, control module, or battery. Counsel a repairman for precise finding and fixes.

No dashboard light and rear light on Nissan cabster 1.5tonne truck

If your Nissan Cabster 1.5 tonne truck is experiencing no dashboard lights and rear lights, there are a few potential causes for this issue:
  1. Blown fuses: The dashboard and rear lights are connected to separate fuses. A blown fuse could cause one or both of these lights to stop working. Check the fuse box and replace any blown fuses.
  2. Wiring issue: A wiring problem such as a broken wire or loose connection may prevent power from reaching the lights.
  3. Switch problem: The problem could be the switch controlling the lights. The switch may be worn out or malfunctioning, preventing the lights from turning on.
  4. Bulb problem: The dashboard and rear lights are controlled by separate bulbs. One or both of the bulbs may be burned out or damaged.
  5. Electrical module problem: Some vehicles have an electrical module that controls the lights; if the module is faulty, it can cause the lights not to work.
It's best to have a professional technician diagnose the issue. They will be able to identify the specific cause of the problem and make the necessary repairs. It's also important to check the owner's manual for troubleshooting options or error codes that might be displayed on the dashboard.
It's also important to note that the lack of dashboard and rear lights can affect the safety of the vehicle and the driver; thus, it is vital to have it fixed as soon as possible.

Why won't 2006 volvo start after blown fuses?

Hi,

Please check your alternator to see if it's functioning properly. If so, you can attempt to jumpstart your vehicle again. Also, please only change bulbs while the car is turned off. If current was running through your vehicle and didn't find the expected resistor (within your bulb), this might have cause somewhat of a short circuit - even though I think that manufacturer would have built protection for this.

Thank you.

Daytime running lights don't come on. fuses are good changed module, bulbs are good. no power at the bulb plug. Checked with meter.

Day time running lights(DRL) are controlled by the BCM(body control module). There is a sensor in the upper dash that can be bad. Where the defrost vent is, this is where the sensor is. The defrost vent pops out with a screw driver. You have already replaced good parts. I would get it on a scanner to see whats wrong, before replacing another good part

No running lights or dash lights. bulbs are good.

multifunction switch??? connections??? follow the schematic. i get them at the public library. power, ground, swiched power etc should begin to unfold as you read and compare it to the car. if there is an inline fuse or thermal limiter in the circuit, sometimes only the schematic can tell you. some relays are used to control lighting circuits especially headlight related systems

1999 Chrysler T&C Limited - Driving lights/Fog Lights

The fuses that protect your headlamp circuits are Fuse Numbers [4] (Left High Beam), [5] (Right High Beam) [6] (Left Low Beam) and [7] (Right Low Beam).
Fuse 4 is a 10 Amp fuse
Fuse 5 is a 10 Amp fuse
Fuse 6 is a 20 Amp fuse
Fuse 7 is a 15 Amp fuse
All are located in the Power Distribution Center in the engine compartment.

The difference between a 1999 Chrysler Town & Country with DRL and WITHOUT DRL is that one has a DRL module and the other does not. The headlmps themselves are wired exactly the same.

To make yours work, you would have to add the DRL module and reprogram your Body Control Module (BCM) to accept the DRL module. Doing it any other way would probably result in the BCM setting fault codes and possibly even causing malfunctions in other non-headlamp-related circuits.

Hello,

Inside your instrument fuse panel look for fuse #31 which powers up the light control module and the main light switch, also while there be sure and check fuses 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 to be sure they're not blown.

Good luck!

Let me know if this helps.

This is a legitimate problem with light bulbs on Chrysler products.. The best resolution is to purchase a used module from a salvage yard to replace yours which is very much cheaper to do
