update sound card drivers In sounds on control panel, check you have the sound ported to 5:1 or 6:1 speakers Check you have the line out and other jacks connected properly
To clarify things with your standard speakers do not have drivers.
If you are having trouble with no sound you would need drivers for your sound card. If you are not sure where to get the drivers let me know the make and model of your sound card. If you have a manufactured computer let me know the model you have so I can point you to the right drivers.
Your best bet is to contact Creative with an e-mail. They would probably want you to buy a completly new system tho. I find that e-bay has alot of the things i need. or post on gumtree what you need.
