Hi,

The Camera is displaying the Turn the power Off and On again message when the Lens in the Camera is stuck or when any internal malfunction happened.
To resolve the issue turn the power off and on several times. If the issue persists, try power resetting the Camera. To power reset the Camera, remove the battery from the Camera.
Press and hold the power button on the Camera for 30 seconds.
Remain the camera without power for 60 seconds and re-insert the battery.
Also try resetting the Camera back to factory default. Press the RESET button located at the lower right corner of the control buttons using a sharp pointed object.
If the issue persists, service may be required.

Good Luck

Hi,

Error: TURN THE POWER OFF AND ON AGAIN is displayed on the LCD screen when the Lens Mechanism is stuck or when affected by any malfunction. If turning the power on and off again does not resolve the error message, try doing a power reset and Initialize option.
Performing a manual power reset
Turn off the camera.
Remove the battery pack.
Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.
Allow the camera to remain without power for 60 seconds.
Reinsert the battery pack.
Turn on the camera.
To reset the Camera, press the RESET button located inside the Jack cover of the Camera using a sharp pointed object like ball pen or paper clip. This will set the user defined settings back to factory default. The images and videos will not get deleted.

If the issue persists, service may be required.

My camera will not immediately take a picture.

The beep and no shutter action is usually because the auto focus is not focused. If you are using a zoom lens try backing up or unzooming a little.

I have tried the tapping and resetting fixes - nothing works.

Hi

You need your lens replaced but we cannot get the P200 lens at this time. You can look online for a defective camera with a good lens and make one good camera from the two.

Hope this helps.

Unable to take pictures

I had the same problem, I returned it to where I bought it and they replaced the camera with a new one, however it was only 5 weeks old when this happened.
