Try setting the resolution and other settings of the games very low and it might work.
I wouldn't expect too much of the ability of a netbook to play games, seeing as the processor (Intel Atom) isn't very powerful.. Not to mention the graphic processor. The hardware just isn't powerful enough to play recent games.
You probably have other applications running that are using up precious processor power. Your netbook has an Intel atom processor (not a powerhouse) so try to see if you have any other programs running at startup time. Limewire, or any other p2p or torrent downloaders will likely be an issue.
Kill extra processes and that should fix it. Seen this many times before.
