I have a cabrio dryer and when the buttons are pushed to start a cycle they do not sound. The end of cycle signal doesn't work consistently either. It's hit and miss...sometimes it works, more often it doesn't. I have to keep checking to see if a load is done, and sometimes it's done and I miss it, then have to fluff the load to remove wrinkles (using more electricity, of course). This dryer is less than a year old, so it really makes me angry that I'm having issues already. Otherwise it works fine...I just hate having to use the additional electricity to redo the loads I miss.

An E1 Code is a thermistor fault TEST #3a Thermistor Test
The machine control electronics monitors the
exhaust temperature using the thermistor, and
cycles the heater relay on and off to maintain
the desired temperature.
Begin with an empty dryer and a clean lint
screen.
1. Plug in dryer or reconnect power.
2. Set the following configuration:
➔ Door – must be firmly closed
➔ Press Control On
➔ Press End Of Cycle Signal (Louder)
➔ Press Start
3. If after 60 seconds, E1 or E2 flashes in the
display and the dryer shuts off, the thermistor
or wire harness is either shorted or open.
➔ Unplug dryer or disconnect power
➔ Check wire connections at the machine
control electronics and thermistor.
To access the Thermistor you will need to open the bottom front panel 2 screws the thermistor is on the exh duct (Center) check it there let me know if you need futher help

SOURCE: I have a cabrio dryer and it will not start. It
control panel is bad, use your warranty and get it fixed for free since it is only 2 weeks old
SOURCE: dryer wont start when start button is pressed, but humming sound
I'd sure start by making sure the belt isn't broken. You can usually see the belt with a flashlight after accessing the panel (some are in front, others in the rear) - don't go probing around bare armed without unplugging the unit....
SOURCE: My dryer won't start, but I think the cycle button won't engage.
THERE IS A SWITCH THAT IS LOCATED ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE DOOR. SOME OF THESE SWITCHES ARE OF THE PLUNGER TYPE. TRY PUSHING THE PLUNGER IN WHILE STARTING THE DRYER, MAKING SURE THAT NOTHING IS IN THE PATH OF THE ROTATING DRUM. IF THE DRYER STARTS, THEN EITHER ADJUST OR REPLACE THE PLUNGER SWITCH. THANKS FOR USING FIX-YA. PLEASE KEEP ME POSTED. GOOD LUCK
Hello & Welcome to FixYa
If you have already cleaned the vent then the
problem is with the Thermal fuse. When the thermal fuse goes bad it cannot be
reset and replacing it is recommended repair. It is located on the blower wheel
housing inside the rear panel to the exhaust duct. You can test it for
continuity before replacing. Please get back to me if you have any other
questions.
