At first I would have to cycle the power on and off to finally get the tv to work. After changing the power supply, that problem is not as bad. Now the left side of the screen is blurred with vertical colored lines. It gets better the longer the tv remain on, but not perfect. Any suggestions to fix this problem?

The problem is that the panel has failed. Apparently this is a common problem with LCD TV's between 18 mths and 3 yrs old. If it survives over 3 yrs it is likely to last for a few years longer. The cost of replacing the panel is more than a replacement TV!

What you're describing is usually the result of an improperly seated connector. With the power disconnected, open the tv and locate any connectors between the LCD screen and the driver circuit board. Unplug them, and reconnect it assuring it's properly and firmly seated. Be careful when handling these cables as they tend to be quite fragile... take your time.

Alright, now when I switch channels it goes away, but when I turn it off then back on after it cools, it does the same thing.
