F3 error code is generally a bad oven sensor. not every code is universal, but most manufacturers use the f3 error code to indicate a sensor issue. it is an easy fix if you want to tackle the problem yourself. Joe

WHEN MY WHIRLPOOL BUILT IN OVEN MODEL RBS305PRS00 IS BAKING IT SOMETIMES CUT OFF AND YOU HEAR A CLICKING NOISE AND IT WILL DISPLAY EO F3.I CAN TURN THE OVEN OFF AND IT WILL BEEP AND DISPLAY EO F3.AFTE

That's an oven sensor error. Replace the oven sensor. If you still have the error, check the wiring and/or replace the timer/clock board.

Good luck!

F3 f4 gaas oven when preheated these numbers appear it beeps and shuts off

Hi, replace the oven temperature sensor if "F2," "F3" or "F4" is displayed. "F2" indicates the oven temperature is too hot and the oven temperature sensor is suspect. "F3" or "F4" indicates the oven temperature sensor or shorted or open.

Oven control lock beeping along with F3:E4 flashing on the display

Hi-- The code described; F3 E4  indicates an open circuit- oven sensor.  As far as oven problems go this one is easy to fix. -------Unplug sensor and check resistance. Normal is around 1100ohms. ---If open, then replace with new part.  <This will solve the problem>.  You did not provide any other information besides 'beeping' and 'F3:E4'.  A simple Model # from the tag on unit is required for any service or information.  However, since this is a specific fault code, the oven temperature sensor is the most likely suspect. Please acknowledge this post. Solution is to replace the oven temperature sensor.  Thanks-  Ed

Display reads " -F3-

Replace the oven temperature sensor. Unplug the range. Open the oven. The temp sensor will be in the top right or left of the oven.A short metal piece about half the size of a pencil. Remove the screws, pull it out carefully. Disconnect the wire plug. Reverse this order to install the new sensor.

F1 is displayed on Maytag Electric Oven I ran the self-clean cycle on my Maytag Model MER5530 oven yesterday; before it completed F3 was displayed and beeps sounded. I pressed CANCEL, the F3...

Hi

F1 error means that you have either a bad ERC (clock) or a bad touch pad. To check these please follow these simple instructions:
  1. Disconnect power to stove
  2. Gain access to the back of the clock (electronic range control or ERC).
  3. Unplug the touch pad ribbon connector from the ERC. This will be a flat wire approx. 1 1/2" to 2" wide.
  4. Make sure everything is clear and will not short out when power is turned back on.
  5. Turn power back on to stove.
  6. Watch for the F1 and listen for the beep.
  7. If you get the F1 and beep, replace the ERC.
  8. If after approx. 30 minutes you do NOT get the F1 and hear the beep, replace the touch pad...

When using oven it beeps and displays f3

Could be one of 2 problems. Perhaps both.
Unplug the range.Access the control panel and unplug the ribbon connector from the control.
Wait 35 seconds and re-connect it.
If it continues to beep and code replace the temperature sensor.

Oven won't stay on and give an F error message

Disconnect the power. Disconnect the sensor harness from the control. Measure the sensor resistance (white leads). The resistance should be 1080 ohms at room temp. If the sensor is open the resistance is usually over 2900 and you get an F3 message. If the sensor is shorted the resistance is usually less than 950 ohms and you get an F4 error message. Also look for damaged harness terminals if not a bad sensor.

F3 code

It's your oven temperature sensor. It's a thin metal stick that juts into the oven. It is located on the upper right back wall of the oven cavity. Flip your breaker, slide out the oven. You install it from the back, very simple, two screws, i think. I'm a beginner at DIY and had no problem fixing it.
