Range unit stands too far away from wall

Just purchased a Frigidaire FEFL67HC range, and the plate at the back of the unit isn't recessed to accommodate the plug and outlet box. Consequently, the unit stands 3-4 inches away from the wall. My old range sat flush with the wall, and I'd like the new one to do the same. I'm tempted to get out the tin snips, but the unit has been in my house about an hour and who wants to cut a hole in the back of a new appliance? Does any Frigidaire unit have a rear design with recess to allow for plug-in and use while still sitting against the wall? Are there any other solutions or parts to order that could fix this?

There are mounting plates that recess the plug in the wall. Hardware stores have them in the electrical parts department.

Uninstall Frigidaire FMV156EMA over range microwave?

If you have removed the bolts in the cabinet above, the unit is hanging down on the range. All you need to do is get a helper and lift the front edge a little bit and then lift the edge at the wall up about an inch and lift it off.

Have to replace battery in aquacube logic

Model COMP825 The battery is easy to access from the bottom of the cube. 1. Lay the unit onto a towel with the display facing down. 2. Now having easy access to the bottom of the cube you will note a large base plate is screwed to the four corner feet of the cube by two screws in each corner. Using a Phillips head screwdriver, gently remove these eight screws. Lift the plate away. The four feet will also lift away. 3. Another cover plate will be revealed. Remove the small screws from this cover plate. Lift the plate away.
4. The small battery cover plate will be revealed at the top. Remove the small screws from this cover plate. Lift the plate away. 5. The base of the battery will be revealed. Gently pull the battery out as far as you can to show the two leads connected to the top of the battery. 6. Remove the leads from the battery by sliding the clips off the terminals. Note which lead goes on the terminal marked red. 7. Attach the leads to the new battery ensuring that the correct lead goes on the terminal marked red. Slide the battery back into the recess. 8. Replace all cover plates and feet of the cube.

Cant find the model number for a maytag gemini double oven with ceramic cooktop. Any advise?

On the Maytag Gemini Series Double Electric Oven, the Model and Serial number is located on a flip-up metal plate/tag which is located on the upper left side/rear of the of the control panel. There is no need to move the stove away from the wall. Simply place your fingers over the top left edge of the control panel and flip the metal plate/tag up from a point just left of the control panel's center and flip it to the left (it's hinged on a screw to the far left of the flip-up plate/tag).

Kenmore digital oven model 79095321303 temperature is wrong. Digital display on oven says 350 degrees but oven thermometer placed in center of oven (middle rack) shows 200 degrees. When I up the...

It could be one of two things either the control board or the temperature probe and I suspect the probe and that is a do it yourself job.

The oven temperature sensor on your Kenmore range is a one-piece unit that mounts to the rear oven wall with a mounting plate. The sensor is not difficult to change. You will need to dismantle the rear panel from the oven to access the mounting plate. Most appliance repair shops will have replacement sensors. It is a good idea to take the old sensor with you along with the model number of your oven. This way you will be sure to get the correct replacement sensor for your oven.

  • Unplug the Kenmore oven power cord from the wall outlet. Move the oven range away from the wall so that you can access the back of the unit. (Ask a friend to assist you to move the oven. if necessary.) The oven may use an anti-tip bracket on one of the rear legs. Push the oven toward the back wall to release the leg from the bracket in the floor. Tilt the back of the oven toward you, and pull the oven forward.

  • Remove the screws that secure the back panel to the oven with a Phillips-head screwdriver. Pull the back panel away from the unit and set the panel out of the work area.

  • 3

Locate the mounting plate for the oven temperature sensor on the upper right side of the back of the oven. There will be a single wire coming from the back of the mounting plate and the wire mounts to a clip.

  • 4

Follow the wire to the connector on the other end. Pull the connector on the wire to disconnect the wire from the wiring harness.

  • 5

Remove the two screws that secure the mounting plate to the rear of the oven with a Phillips-head screwdriver. Pull the temperature sensor straight out of the oven. Unclip the sensor wire from the mounting clip.

  • 6

Take the oven temperature sensor to an appliance repair facility to purchase a replacement. Insert the sensor end of the temperature sensor through the hole in the back of the oven. Slide the sensor all the way until the sensor mounting plate is flush against the oven. Secure the sensor with the two mounting screws.

  • 7

Connect the sensor wire to the connector by pushing the connector until it locks in place. Snap the wire inside the retaining clip.

  • 8

Place the back panel back over the rear of the oven and secure the panel with the retaining screws. Slide the Kenmore oven back into its working position and plug the power cord into the wall outlet.

How do you remove the base inner bracket parts so that you can mount the TV on to a wall?

    What make and model?

Most wall-mountable TVs will have threaded holes in the back for wall-mounting. Most of which you can bolt a bracket to then unscrew a few of the set-screws for the stand and slide the TV off of the stand.

Most TVs have 4 set screws for the stand located near the bottom middle of the TV where the stand inserts into the TV. The screws may be recessed fairly far into the back of the set and may require a long thin screwdriver.

    Issues with frigidaire gas range

Return it. You purchased a "usable" gas range. whether it was on clearance or not is immaterial unless you purchased the unit as a non-working unit. If the personnel in the appliance dept. are not willing to exchange the unit, ask to speak to the manager (store Manager, not appliance dept manager). Explain to the manager that you spent your money for a usable range and the range you received is not usable. If the manager is unwilling to exchange the unit, ask him for his full name and the number to the corporate office of Lowe's. Remember, the unit was already exchanged once, so the story they will try to give you is that they only authorize repairs for non-working units is a lie or you would not have been able to purchase the unit you have. If you cannot get a new unit, do call the corporate office with the name of the store manager, explain you were sold a piece of junk that the store knew had problems and that they informed you were corrected. The problems were not corrected and you would have never purchased the range knowing the problems still existed. stand firm, you will get a new range to replace the one you have
