Browser Enlarged When browsing the internet, the page is now enlarged, I think I may have pressed something to make it go into large mode or something. I can't view the webpage without having to scrol over. Any suggestions??

If part of the web page is not visible on the screen, you may have accidentally dragged it off to the side. Click the green button at the top-left corner of the web page to resize the window to fit on the screen.
If your screen resolution is set to 800 x 600 or less, most web pages won't fit on the screen. If possible, increase resolution to at least 1024 x 768 in System Preferences > Displays.
You may have accidentally hit Command (Apple key) and the plus sign (+) key -- this makes the text bigger. To reduce text size, hit Command and hyphen (-) key.
Finally, if Zoom is turned on in the Universal Access setting, you be looking at only part of the screen -- zoomed in like using a magnifying glass. Hold down Command (Apple key) and ALT key and hyphen (-) to see if this is on -- it will unzoom (zoom out) by one step. Turn this off or on in System Preferences > Universal Access.
I hope that helps.

How do you reduce the screen size.

  • Launch the Web browsericon1.png on your Mac system. Unless you have changed the home page, the Apple site greets you.
  • 2 Click the green "+" symbol in the upper left corner of the window. This enlarges the window so it takes up the entire screen. If you want to return the window to the former size, click the green "+" again.

My Facebook is so enlarged that I cannot see the entire page.

Your browser might have maximized the resolution. You can press and hold the CTRL button on your keyboard and scroll up or down the mouse scroller to minimize and maximize the view in the browser.

Monitor is enlarged, wont return to normal size

You may have hit the "F11" key which takes the open window to fullscreen. "F11" toggles large, small... If not that, beboot. If that doesn't clear it up, then the display settings have gotten altered. Right click on the desktop, select "settings" and increase the resolution. Windows should prompt you to keep or reject the change. Select yes or no when prompted.

Monitor is enlarged, wont return to normal size

Hi, three possible things. 1) You have activated the magnifier. Go to Start, All Programs, Accessories, Accessibility, Magnifier - deactivate, should be a small window bottom left of the desktop. or 2) Your screen resolution somehow changed. Right click on any clear part of the desktop, go to properties, Settings Tab. Adjust screen resolution to desired setting then click Apply/OK. or 3)You are in Safemode. Restart and if same large icons etc, do # 2. Hope that this be of some help to you. Pls post how things turn up. Regards
