Jet 3 Power Chair shows a full charge, drive about a block and the lights indicate almost dead. I turn it off and then back on and it shows more bars and I drive it back home. I've tested both bat

I've dismantled the chair searching for shorts, blown fuse, and even taped the 50 amp circuit breaker just to make sure it wasn't faulty and bouncing around. I'm stumped.

In reference to my question above, my chair doesn't blink. It just goes from a full charge and goes down from there. Then the chair starts to crawl along. I power it off and then back on and I'm good for a few minutes and the cycle begins again. Other than that, the joystick is responsive. I've read that no one has repaired a joystick as it is sealed. So, to fix my problem, I'm reading a new joystick....anything else?? Is it possible the joystick is fine and its another component??

Final question / statement. I pushed the power button down quickly and nothing flashed. So this time I pushed it down and held it. It made a weak horn type noise, however I noticed nothing else. So just for kicks, I took it out for a walk with the dog (3am) and it worked absolutely fine. Not a single problem. Did holding the button down reset something? Please, any comments or suggestions are welcome.

SOURCE: Constant flashing lights, all three of

You can visit this website to find answers on what the flashing trouble indicator lights mean: http://www.pgdt.com/scenter/diagnostics/diagvsi.html
Locate the page that has the controller used on your power chair/scooter and count how many lights are flashing to diagnose the trouble. If your insurance purchased the power chair for you, they may also cover the repairs; contact them for information.
Good luck!

Jet 3 will not turn on but when you plug charger cord in it will light up the entire length of the battery indicator when you push the switch. Chair will still not move. Controller is a PG Drives Pilot...

the batteries are not charged and need to be replaced. The reason you have lights is because the charger is supplying power to the chair and the chair will not move when the charger is plugged in because of the inhibit function. Replace the batteries and make sure you charge before use Hope this helps

Have a jet 3 power chair will not take a charge, can't tell that iy is charging

Cathey when you plug in the charger look at the rear of the chair at the meter if the chair is charging then the meter will indicate some amperage reading when it is fully charged the meter will read zero. Also turn on the chair and if the lights are scrolling or flashing it shows that the charger is plugged in. Now if after the meter reads zero (if it ever does) the lights on the joystick should all be lit indicating a full charge. If you aren't getting all the lights and the meter indicated the charger was working then you need to replace the batteries Hope this helps

Hello, After fully charging my mother's Jazzy power chair overnight, the rear battery indicator/pointer shows zero meaning it's fully charged. I leave it unplugged all day and then by 5pm when I check...

Sorry but it sounds like weak batteries. I would replace both batteries and after installation fully charge before use. Then ask Mom to use the chair more each day so you can charge them overnight each day for the next 20 days. It will break in the batteries and get them operating at 100%. If you can get her to use it more and charge it overnite and always put it up at full charge the batteries should last 2-3 years Hope this helps
