Wurlitzer one more time. no sound and record will not eject

The record will not eject. When I turn the unit on the record just spins. I can lift the arm and set the needle at the start of the record and you can hear the music at the needle but no sound out of the speakers. When it is done playing it just continues to spin the record, it won't eject it in order to play another.

Also, I just noticed that the display shows record 905 playing, but 908 is actually playing. Also this is a 45 player not a 110 cd player.

There is a switch just under the tone arm. When the tone arm moves towards the centre it slowly pushes two copper strips together. When they meet it starts the motor to eject the record. If you can't Cancel the record with the cancel button then that is a different problem, otherwise you can adjust the trip switch by inserting a 7mm spanner down the hole to the right of the tone arm post.

SOURCE: No sound on 2710 Wurlitzer

Find the input to the amp from the tone arm. Play a record and while it is playing unplug the tone arm input. Stick a paperclip in the input of the amp...if it doesn't go HUMMMMMMMMM.....you have a dead amp....or the speakers arent plugged in.

SOURCE: Hi, I have a Wurlitzer 3600 Superstar that I am

Look at the switch and solenoid assembly at 1 oclock on the carousel. That is what activates to set it going and it then clocks off a ratchet wheel to do two full cycles looking for a selection then stops. If it gets stuck the carousel wont stop.

SOURCE: Wurlitzer 1015 OMT Disc spins, then stops....

Spoke with "Doctor Jukebox" from Folsom, CA about a similar problem I had. You can find him on craigslist.

I did NOT have the "2222" display issue.

Root cause: The laser isn't "seeing" the CD and interprets inability to see as being the end of the track, therefore, puts the CD back into the carousel.

Solutions:

1) Clean the lens. Be careful to use an appropriate lens cleaning solution. The lens is made of plastic and may cloud up if a harsh solution is used. Use a Q-tip dipped into the cleaning solution and gently clean the lens using a side-to-side motion, not a front-to-back motion. Wait for a bit until the lens is completely dry, then try playing a CD. (note: this fixed the problem for me)

If that doesn't work...

2) Replace the laser module. It's easy to remove with a torx. Be gentle when disconnecting and reconnecting the ribbon cable and/or other connections so you don't bend the leads. Laser modules cost a few hundred dollars, so try Solution 1) above before replacing the module.

Wurlitzer CD 1015. The disc loads, then will spin in one direction for a few seconds, then will stop and spin in the other direction. The disc looks as if it is spinning off centre.

I saw a recent video about this on a record juke box and it was linkages and range sensors that needed cleaning. It definitely mentions that the record wasn't being held properly and was wobbling.

Hello,

Have you checked all the fuses or circuit breakers on the jukebox?
Are all the power supply led's lit?
Make sure that all the connection plugs into the boards are fully seated and making good connections.

After checking the above if the fault remains you will need to contact a Wurlitzer service engineer.

Model- 1015CD Wurlitzer "One more

It sounds like a communication problem between the Selection & Credit Computer (SCC) and the CD Control unit, or perhaps a defective player (SCC is telling it to play, but it can't). There are different troubleshooting procedures, depending on which player version you have. Please email me and I'll give you a phone number where you can call me for further help

I have a 1015 OMT vinyl machine that randomly develops a loud hum from time to time while playing a record. Turning off the machine for an hour makes it go away. I have ground lifted the AC power cord but...

Your problem is either in the amplifier board (I can repair these) or the cable going to the cartridge on the tone arm (I stock these). When the machine is making the humming noise, unplug the cable from the tone arm at the top left side of the amplifier...If the sound goes away, I'd suspect the cable. If the sound continues, I'd suspect the amplifier board. Please fee free to email for more assistance, [email protected].

Cd will not eject. Keeps giving message "Now OPC" but will not do anything and will not eject cd either.

To remove a stuck CD from Tascam CC222 MKII

This solved the "Now OPC" problem

1. Unplug unit

2. Remove the top cover, (3 screws on each side and 3 on the back, lift cover).

3. Plug in unit.

4. Power on the unit to observe the drive spindle spinning clockwise, (1" disc on top of drive).

5. Turn off unit, do not unplug at this time.

6. Use a small screwdriver to prevent the drive spindle from spinning.

7. Power on the unit preventing the spin.

8. In approximately 10 seconds the display will read "Disc Error" and the CD tray will open.

9. Remove the screwdriver and the disc.

10. Turn off the unit and unplug.

11. Replace the cover.

12. Use a better quality disc.

This is a problem is with the Wurlitzer 1015 One

Make sure the Service switch on the jukebox Credit Unit (computer) is in the off position.

It actually sounds like a Selection and Credit computer fault.

When a CD is selected, it's starts to spin, I hear 2 clicks and it stops spinning. This happens a couple more times then the CD is ejected and returned to it's slot.

It sounds as though either your CD player (probably a CDM3 or CDM4S) of the CD control box is defective. I would be happy to help you troubleshoot further over the phone and can provide repair and/or replacement of the defective components. Please email [email protected]. Thank you, Rod Stebelton

Is your 3 digit display on? If not, does the Z LED Flash when rotating the record carrier? If so, you may need to have your computer repaired. If the Z LED doesn't flash, check the 12 volt fuse in the amplifier. If you need your computer repaired or further assistance, please email me, Rod Stebelton, [email protected].
