Dometic RM2652. The fridge will not work when it is plugged into AC.

It will work on propane only if the fridge itself is unplugged from the AC, does not work on AC. If it is plugged in, it will not ignite the burner but as soon as you unplug the fridge the burner will ignite. I never get a check light, it appears it is working in the camper. I checked the heating element and it reads 42 ohms. I'm leaning toward the control board, but not 100% sure. Need Help!!

Replaced the circuit board and it smoked. It is now doing the same thing. Any ideas???

Verify the following: voltage at outlet (123vac), voltage at DC connection (must be above 11vdc or the unit will not properly work), verify DC connection polarity is correct, check fuses on circuit board. If everything checks out good then you have a failed circuit board. Use Dinosaur Electronics if possible since they offer a three year warranty and typically are better made boards.

Unplug the fridge. Remove the cover from the circuit board, unplug the 2 wires going to the heat element and do an Ohms reading should be 35-45 Ohms. If the Ohms is good then you need a circuit board as long as you have checked the 110 volt fuse on the circuit board.

SOURCE: FRIDGE WILL NOT IGNITE IN GAS MODE

The part you are looking for is the thermo couple. It senses the heat from the flame and holds the gas valve open. The clicking will try three times and then go into lock out. You then will need to reset on the front of the fridge. When installing the thermo couple do not over tighten.

Dometic RM2652 Propane Fridge. Can I make my RM2652 Dometic into a manual running fridge on propane?

I have been trying to answer this for over an hour. I moved to a different browser.

did you know this model was the subject of a recall?

Refrigerator Recall ' Dometic.com

https://www.dometic.com > en-us > outdoor > refrigerat...
Please note the following combination of refrigerator model and serial numbers are affected: · Model numbers: NDR1062, RM2652, RM2662, RM2663, RM2852, RM2862, ...

I have searched extensively for spare but they are all marked out of stock or obsolete. You best bet is to call in a gas refrigeration engineer and see if there is a similar part that can be used. It needs to be something automatic.

My dometic rm2652 check light comes on after a the refrigerator is turned on with either gas or electric. What could be the problem?

First things to check would be the receptacle that fridge is plugged in to at back for power to it. You may have tripped breaker as well. Either way, you need to confirm that you have AC (hydro) voltage going to fridge, as well as test for min 11-12 Volts (DC) to back of fridge where the DC voltage connects. The check light coming on tells me you have 12 Volts DC, but just confirm. With propane on, make sure you have propane to stove etc, then try starting fridge on propane only setting, and listen or watch outside at burner for ignition. Let me know if you see it sparking, or hear it sparking.

I have a dometic rm 2652 in a 2003 travel trl. The propane side works. The elect side quit working. There is power to plug. The lights for auto and fridge inter. also work. The two fuses are good.

Unplug hydro plug to fridge. Remove cover on circuit board. Follow wires from heating element, to terminals on circuit board. ( probably J7 and J8 ) . With an AC volt meter or multimeter set to AC voltage, turn fridge on hydro, and leave door open on fridge so that it calls for cooling. To be sure it's calling for cool, try gas first, when it's starts, you know it's calling for cool, then switch to AC operation. Now test for voltage at the 2 terminals that the heating element were/are attached to. If you get 100-120 VAC, then replace the heating element. If not get back to me and I'll walk you through a couple more tests.

3 way dometic RV fridge RM2612 won't work on propane or 12 V

Check any fuses/circuit breakers in harness from battery. That battery should supply 12 volts dc to fridge lugs/terminals at bottom of fridge on outside behind vent.
If battery is good and hooked up properly but no 12 volts to fridge, then you will have to trace back to battery for broken /bad wire. If you want to test quickly, just run 2 jumper wires from battery to those 2 lugs marked + and - Battery + to + (pos)at fridge, and - battery to -Neg at fridge. That should allow you to run it on propane or 12 volt. Remember, running it on 12 volts will kill that battery pretty quick, unless it's being charged. When you are plugged in, the converter supplies the 12 volts to your fridge, as well as should be charging your battery.
