TUNER PROBLEM please advise me on what to do to my T-7J FM/AM/TV STEREO SYNTHESIZER TUNER (KENWOOD).i dont know how to make tuner work.there is a display but tuning, band, etc... seems like it is not working.it began when i use the sleep feature of its remote control.for not to worry on turning off the stereo, i used the sleep mode.but my problem, when i try to use its tuner again, i can not do so.i need your advise. tnx

Trisha, I beleive you use your autoscan feature, when it stops on a station you want to keep press and hold one of the preset buttons.

Is it a tuner only? If so you will need a power and or just a receiver with speakers. A tuner only has no power output for things like tvs.

Try tuning to the station you want and then just keep the button pressed down on the preset you want to store it to until it saves

That's a pretty standard setup. RCA cables from the KM207 to the preamp (KC207), and RCA cables from all of the other components into the KC207. Speakers connect into the KM207

That unit uses a wire loop antenna and it connects to the rear under the screw terminals.

It sounds you are using an amplifier and using the blue wire (power antenna remote turn on) instead of the blue/white wire (amplifier remote turn on). Try hooking up the blue/white wire to turn your amp on. When leaving tuner mode, the blue wire shuts off, turning off the amplifier.

There is nothing unique to the signal or speaker wires used with this component. ANY hi-fi or electronics shop, online, eBay will have whatever you need. Your choice. Hint: standard 16-gauge lamp cord makes excellent speaker wire. Don't spend a lot on copper cables.

I presume you realize none of these things produces speaker amplification. A receiver would do that and facilitate graceful and simultaneous interconnections. But it's not a necessity for selective interconnective between them, just not all at the same time.

I can't find any details on anything you named except the Tuner.

Typically, the tuner would use an RCA pair to go to a receiver AUX, TUNER or other Line Level input for source selection and amplification. Lacking a receiver, run it to the Tape Deck inputs for recording.

Ditto for the CD changer, but you'll probably have to disconnect the tuner.
