Hp pavilion a6244n turns on but monitor goes right into sleep mode after it says no imput

dont worry ALL PC end up like this,, all do.. sooner or later..

no Monitor stated. (maker, CRT, LCD what?)
The monitor is not fibbing to you BTW, the PC did go dead or to sleep. seems its monitor monitor of some kind with DVI.

if the monitor works on other PCs then the monitor is not bad.
i Bet it works (old ones 2002, have a hidden deep internal sleep mode. and is not yours IM sure now) DVI IS THE ONLY CLUE THERE.
So PC is dead. this PC came with only VISTA new,
is it still VISTA?????????

when HP support ends after 10 year rule, (be savvy?)


what keyboard USB or wireless keyboard mouse
use wired USB keyboards if wireless the battery is dead. easy no?

now in VISTA, go to Control panel, click power
turn off all sleep modes and all hibernate modes
the turn off screen savers, if turned on , disktop . RC right click
in display settings or personalize, turn off , need login to come out of sleep or screen saver.
try a real keyboard, that has USB cable yet? be first thing to do.
always keep a real keyboard, handy,,,
batteries fail. in all wireless devices like this (inside them)

Hi There The Monitor setting you set through the computer, may you select the sleep mode or hibernate. Chang the mode and fix the problem.

looks like there is problem with ur signal cable check that monitor signal cable is tightly fixed or contact ur product support center.

More likely to be power supply problem due to bad caps, you need to open it up and look for caps with bulging top, post back what you see so we can guide you furhter. See example of failed HP monitors and other due to bad caps: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums

right click on desktop select properties(screen saver ) select monitor button in that select turn monitor never.(configure carefully)

try another cable I have tis problem on mine & I have to do them up solid, also check for bent pins in the cable & bend the back carefully & unplugged.If not you may need to set up the computer to output, try another monitor to rule that out.

Problem of monitor sreen going black in 5-10 secs is generally dry solder joints around the inverter transformer on the inverter PCB.
