Hi David_77,
I saw you suggested replacing R428 in a post you made to the problem with Bose Lifestyle 5 system not outputting from Fixed outputs but the headphone output worked fine.
I have a similar issue but cannot track down R428 on the boards in my system. Is it on the underside of the board with the display attached? I cannot find it on the top. Perhaps there are different rev's of the system that may not contain R428.
Any help you can offer would be very muxch appreciated.
Thanks,
Kiwi Jeff
I took a picture of the board on my Lifestyle 5. Could someone point out which is R428? Thanks.
Hi, If you go to the bottom jack socket and trace the wiring back it should take you to R428, one end is connected to the tip of the jack socket the other to the + 10 volt line

can any one please tell me were to find R428 resistor on bose lifestyle 5 music centre unit, i have no sound out of it, but sound out of the head phones ive checked up its says it could be a blown R428 resistor but carnt find it any were. is it in the cd unit or the amp unit can u please tell me were to look for it and what unit its in, thanks alan u can email me at [email protected]
Thanks Dave, you have been very helpful.
For others that are still confused. The resistor is on the underneath of the main board (not the display board) in the music Centre (not the acoustimass sub). The jack socket Dave refers to is the green double socket labeled System Control on the back of the music centre.
The trick is finding the right resistor. I have not tracked it down yet but intend to look closely over the next few days.

Jeff
