Philips 43p8341 my tv will come on but no picture or sound and it will turn on with the button on the front but it won't turn off by the button on the front......what could be the problem

Open the tv backcover,check all the connections,and the soldering of the wire to the speackers.

It is a fault with the control board or with panel.

sounds like your two convergence ICs are shorted out, plus you probably need two 6.8ohm resistors ICs are part # STK392-120
should be installed by a trained repairman cost about $300-400

Apparently the original part you need is obsolete. Through a lot of research, I've found a substitute at www.partstore.com They list this part as a PCB keyboard and list your model television as a match for this part. Sounds like you need the front keyboard PCB. You can get one frome the following link. They dont have them listed but if you leave them an email they will send you a response. Bought one three weeks ago they are 25.00 with free shipping.

Change the coolant in the blue CRT and your picture will be new looking again. Let me know if you need more information.

Can you check the chassis number on your set I think its the DPTV916 . It should be located on the tag with the model number. Need to know tha chassis number then I can offer some suggestions on what to check.
