Masterlink V2 OS was working great for months via digital connection from DAW. Suddenly there's pops and crackles in the recordings, but not coming from the DAW. Help Please!

Pops and crackles in recordings can be caused by several factors, including issues with the audio interface, cables, or the digital connection. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to narrow down the problem:
  1. Check the cables: Ensure that all audio cables are properly plugged in and not damaged. Try swapping out the cables to see if the problem persists.
  2. Check the audio interface: Test the audio interface using different input sources and output devices to see if the pops and crackles still occur. If so, it may be a problem with the audio interface.
  3. Check the settings: Check the sample rate and buffer size settings in your DAW and the Masterlink V2 OS to ensure they match. Mismatched settings can cause pops and crackles.
  4. Check for interference: Move any electronic devices away from the audio interface and cables as they can cause interference.
  5. Update firmware and drivers: Check for any firmware or driver updates for the Masterlink V2 OS and your audio interface and update if necessary.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be best to contact the manufacturer or a professional audio technician for further assistance.

How do you update audio drivers

Skipping and popping could be caused by defective speakers. But to be sure, go to support.dell.com and enter your service tag number (found on the bottom of the case, usually). There will be a link to the sound drivers which you can download and install on the computer. Once downloaded, you click on the file and it normally self-installs.

I'm missin the drivers for my mbox1

Mbox USB Driver Update v.1.0.1 NON-PUBLIC

NON-PUBLIC www.digidesign.com
along with the CollabInfoFix, PT LE 5.2.1 link, and the previously posted
Firmware rev 18 update...

Digidesign Mbox USB Driver Update v.1.0.1

" What Fixed with Digidesign USB Driver v1.0.1 "

The USB Driver Update fixes a problem that could result in corrupted audio
recordings. Typically, the recorded audio would contain clicks and pops after
long periods of recording time. Digidesign recommends that all Mbox users
replace their "Digidesign USB Driver" version 1.0 (located in the System Folder
/Extensions Folder) with this version 1.0.1 driver.

Who Should Use this Update?

All Mbox Users with either Pro Tools LE (Mac) v.5.2 that shipped with Mbox, or
the 5.2.1 web update for Mbox users from DigiProNet

To Download Digidesign USB Driver v1.0.1:

Go to the Support/Downloads/Mbox section of the Digidesign website: digidesign.com

No audio output device is installed

I'm assuming that this happened after an upgrade or update? Since the audio is integrated on the board, this is a driver issue. Here's the link to download the drivers for your computer:

My acer aspire 7535-5020 laptop need driver update/repair.can i get free download updates??? if so how and where, many thanks.

Hello!

If you want to update your drivers the safest way to do this would be to go to Start, then click on Control Panel and then click on Device Manager. In that window right+click a piece of hardware and then select Update Driver. In the next window, tell it to update automatically on the internet.

Now if you are compltely missing drivers, go to this website
http://gd.panam.acer.com/home/

In the list under Drivers & Downloads, select Notebook
In the list that pops up to the left, select Aspire
In the list that pops up to the left, select Aspire 7535
In the section that has now opened below the lists, select your operating system, by default it should be on Microsoft Windows Vista Home Basic 32-bit (you can find your exact operating system by going to Start, the click on Control Panel and then double clicking on System).
Now download the drivers that you feel you need (you can usually tell which drivers you need by the features you do not have. For example, if you no audio in your computer then you most likely need audio drivers).

Hope this helps! If it doesn't comment back and let us know!

My sound only works occasionally when i turn it on. I need to uninstall the audio driver and re-install it but i dont know how

GO TO CONTROL PANEL. RIGHT CLICK THE SOUND ICON. THEN OPEN IT. UNDER THE PLAYBACK TAB, CLICK SPEAKERS SO THEY ARE HIGH-LIGHTED, THEN CLICK PROPERTIES.. ANOTHER BOX WILL POP UP, UNDER THE GENERAL TAB, LOOK FOR CONTROLLER INFORMATION THEN CLICK PROPERTIES, ANOTHER BOX WILL POP UP, CLICK THE GENERAL TAB AGAIN. THEN CLICK CHANGE SETTINGS, IF A BOX POPS UP ASKING FOR PERMISSION TO CONTINUE, THEN CLICK CONTINUE.. IF NOT THEN CLICK THE DRIVER TAB, SCROLL DOWN TO UPDATE DRIVER (TRY THIS BEFORE YOU UNINSTALL IT). IF UPDATING THE DRIVER DOES NOT SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM, THEN REPEAT ALL THESE STEPS TO GO BACK INTO THE SOUND PROPERTIES AND CLICK THE UNINSTALL OPTION INSTEAD OF THE UPDATE DRIVER OPTION. YOU CAN ALSO CHOOSE THE ROLLBACK OPTION BEFORE UNINSTALLING. THE ROLLBACK OPTION WILL ROLL THE DRIVER BACK TO AN EARLIER VERSION IF ONE IS AVAILABLE. WHEN ALL ELSE FAILS, UNINSTALL THEN REINSTALL!!! I HOPE THIS HELPS!!!!

There is a delay in the audio on my Sony BDP-S350

Hi,
Did you check the sound setup? I know it can be setup for such a delay.
If I remember correctly (I don't have my DVD in front while answering) you access this setup by clicking on the remote control on the button on the right of the "HOME" button (I think this is the "OPTION" button): ont the pop up menu, you then have to choose the top menu (this is something like "SETUP"), and then choose sound: you will see that you can scroll there to delay or not the sound. Maybe, in your case, it is not set on the '0'.
Since I am not sure I remember correctly how to access this menu, I suggest you eventually look for it on your user guid.
Hope this helps
