Hello, Yes you can, if they are the regular speaker wire (2 wires--black+red or something similar)

Yes - one of the channels on the HX will work with the SX channel;

sounds like he may have run the wires from the computer speaker out plug instead of the line out plug. Check that by plugging headphones into the back of the computer where the cord is. If the sound is loud through the headphones, try plugging them into the other out plug. The correct plug will not have much volume at all through the headphones. Try this and let me know if it helps :)

you can use a 40:1 mix if it smokes then cut it back to 32:1 but a little more oil is better than not enough so start with the 40:1
