Disk read error - Samsung N150

After dropping laptop and restarting, I only get "A disk read error occurred Press Crl+Alt+Del to restart" Crl+Alt+Del brings back to the same page, and so does F4 during startup. This model does not have a CD-ROM drive so I'm not sure how to run diagnostics? Any advice?

SOURCE: when ever I switch on

Unfortunately, this is an indication of a hard drive failure. You might need to have your netbook's hard drive repaired or replaced.

Problem with a disk read error

There are a couple of possibilities.

1. The hard drive is defective.

2. The operating system is corrupt.

The easiest way to test this is to run the restore cd that came with the computer to reload Windows.

If you get this error while running the restore cd then you will need to get a new hard drive.
