The sweep hose merely trails behind the cleaner. It doesn't swish from side to side as it has for the two previous pool seasons. This is its third year.

You might want to pull the drive wheels and see if their might be a small pebel stuck in the drive gears on the wheel.

On this automatic pool cleaner, this is usually an easy thing to fix. First, make sure that your filter bag is clean and free of obstructions. Next, take of your head float and shake it. If you can hear water inside, you will need to order a new head float and install it. They are usually inexpensive and easy to replace. Make sure the hose floats are evenly placed and make sure that the cleaner is not getting too much pressure from the return lines.

Unfortunately, this is a construction issue and not something that will be easily corrected with the pool cleaner.
Depending on the location of the port for the cleaner, you might consider shortening the hose so that the cleaner cannot make it to the barstools, but if you are like most homeowners, the barstools were built at a point in the pool that if your shorten the hose, the cleaner will not reach the rest of the pool.
To be honest, we run into this a lot and had your builder made a few alterations, this would not have become an issue.
At this point the only "true" solutions are as follows:
#1) Find something that can anchor to the floor of the pool that keeps the cleaner from having access behind the table pedastal(s).
#2) Discontinue using the cleaner
#3) Remove the table
None of these are "great" suggestions and are probably not feasible, so option #4: live with it!
Thank you for submitting your question. Sorry we do not have a better alternative solution!

You DO need a booster pump to power these automatic pool cleaners. It will not work without one.

Further information on my problem. I took the cleaner out of the pool while it was running and it appeared to have water spraying out of all the places where it should spray out. I'm not use what causes the sweeping motion, so I don't know where to look to see if something is wrong, blocked, ripped or whatever.
