I have roadrunner high speed cable and a d-link attatched. I can not get the wreless system to work. Each time I hook it up it shuts down my internet service. When I take it off I again regain access to the internet.

Not sure if this will help you but I had trouble connecting my Dlink wireless router DI-524UP to my Thomson Speedtouch ADSL DSL modem.

The problem was that after inputting the PPPoE settings in the router, I lost internet connectivity.

The solution was to set the modem into bridge mode, then put the PPPoE settings in the router.

Reset the router

1. On the back of your router there is a little black reset button. Use a pen or paper clip and press down for 10 seconds. Make sure the lights on the router stop blinking for one second. Release the button and make sure to reset your wireless security and network ID.
2. If that doesn't work just unplug your routers power cord. This is the easiest way to reset your internet connection without resetting your router to factory settings.
3. If neither of those work, unplug the power cord of your modem. This will completely reset the internet connection without resetting the routers settings.
