Why won't wireless mic turn on the "Ready" light on receiver?

My Shure PG58 wireless mic comes on OK with green light, but won't work - and won't turn on the "Ready" light on the receiver. However, my wireless lapel mic is working fine. I changed the battery in the hand held mic, but that didn't help.

Make certain the mic and the receiver are in the same exact frequency band. There are stickers on both products that list the frequency band.

SOURCE: Is the frequency used by

It depends on the specific frequency that you have. Some of the UT systems operated between 698 and 806 MHz, and they are now illegal.

Other UT systems operated below 698 MHz and those are still legal to use.

Look at the frequency that is on the sticker on the back or bottom of the receiver or the sticker that is in the battery compartment of the microphone.

SOURCE: wireless microphone receiver ready light or audio indicator nogo

It is definitely a Sync issue.

1) Make certain the microphone is ON and the light on it is green.
2) Remove the battery cover from the microphone.
3) point the **** end of the microphone (where it says Sync) toward the Sync button the receiver (about 6-8 inches away).
4) Press the Sync button on the receiver. You should notice the light on the microphone flash.

If this still does not work, call Shure Applications at 847-600-8440.

You need to re-sync the receiver with the mic. Refer to your user manual for the procedure.

SOURCE: Does the battery on my Shure PG58 Mic drain even

Hi,

It depends on the quality of the battery.
My advice is to pull out the battery after a week of non using.

Regards,
Gerard

SOURCE: mic not working

On some mics, one of the lights will NOT turn on unless the battery is low. The mic is the transmitter, so I am not sure what you mean by it not lighting, but the transmitter is lighting?

Make sure the mic's freq. is within the scanned range of the receivers. Often the mics get mixed with other receivers and the resulting pair are incompatible.

The receiver should show if signal is being received. If it is, then the module in the microphone dynamic cartridge MIGHT have been damaged. If it is damaged, it has to be replaced.

I cant get my mic to sink

I assume you are talking about the RF A/B lights. If they do not come on, check the frequency to make certain the transmitter matches that receiver. If the frequencies do match, then the system will need to be repaired.

Microphone PG58 won't turn on, it has a blinking red light when I push the power button

Your circuit board could be bad, but i would pull out the circuit board and spray contact cleaner onto the button, let it dry a few minutes and connect the battery and press that button quiet a few times and see if that fixes the problem.

Why won't wireless mic turn on the "Ready" light on receiver?

The handheld is in a different frequency band than the receiver. There are stickers on both that saw what frequency range they can tune to.

We are using a Shure PG58 wireless mic. It worked very well for about 1 year and then it would work on/off. Even when we put new batteries in the mic it still just goes dead. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, there are many, many things that can cause a unit to be non-functional. Try calling Shure to get it repaired, or call Delta Audio at 773-764-3634. Delta Audio also repairs older Shure equipment.
