I have a Sanyo Xacti 10 MP that records with date and time but when I put the SD card in my Apple laptop and download the videos, the date and time seems to not stay on the videos.

The date and time information may not be embedded in the video file itself, but rather in the metadata of the file. When you transfer the video from your camera to your computer, the metadata may not be transferred along with the video.
To preserve the date and time information on your downloaded videos, you can try the following:

Make sure that all memory resident software is turned off on your comptuer including any anti virus software.

If you have a secondary hard drive on your computer use that instead of the C drive.

Defrag your hard drive. This way you video will be save as a continous file on your hard drive rather than having it being saved into little pieces.

Make sure that the Dazzle drivers are updated as well.

The important thing is to shut down all memory resident programs and defrag your hard drive.

Did you install the software that came on the CD? When you do that, connect the camera to the PC via USB, turn the camera on, select your choice. You can playback to PC, create a DVD, etc.

I have a JVC Everio GZ-HD3AA camcorder which I recently purchased. I am able to connect it a TV and watch video files, but they all appear in black and white!
The downloaded movies to my laptop (Acer aspire 5630) with windows vista as the operating system are played in slow motion on the laptop screen.
