SOURCE: Minolta Maxxum 7D Lithium Battery Replacement

To change this battery you need to dissasemble the back of the 7D, the metal frame behind this one, the front and the right cover and the PCB that support the compact flash reader/writer.
You can see the top of the battery if you remove the compact flash card and look right on top of the connector. The silver rounded portion behind the connector is the battery (5mm diameter soldered on the back of the PCB).
This is quiet difficult job, wit a few delicate connectors, and the flat cable coming from the gyro near the lens is very difficult to reconnect.

Hi Carmen- I am experiencing the same issue with my 2 DIgilux 1 camera, after a long time of not using them. In fact, One of them had a broken lens motor for the longest time and that seems to have fixed itself. I have 2 new batteries on order to see if thtat resolves.

I put a fresh new pack of film into my Fuji film instax 210 camera but only used it to take two pictures. The next day when I tried to take a picture, it came out completely white. Why is that? It is very...

Completely white photos on an Instax, or any instant camera means the film has been exposed somehow. Check to be sure the film door is completely closed, and latched properly. If it is, it's possible, though unlikely, that your camera's shutter is stuck open. It'd be easy to check, simply look at the front of your camera into the lens, and see if you see any mechanical bits, now take a picture and see if you see any of them move - movement means working, no movement means not. If the entire camera back opens (I'm not sure if it does) you can also open it and do the same thing, looking to see if you see light through the camera when you're looking through the lens but not taking a picture - if you do the lense is stuck open. This, however, would require removing and wasting whatever film is remaining in it right now.

Hello, my A410 Pshot photos have fine lines and are overexposed. Movies ans flash seem to work OK. It started suddenly without warning. Tried changing settings without success. Would appreciate your...

Charles, First make sure that you're in the camera's automatic picture mode, and not it's manual mode. If so, then you're either experiencing a "stuck shutter" or a "broken shutter control ribbon cable" problem. Stuck shutter you can easily fix yourself, but fixing a shutter ribbon cable problem would not be an economical repair for your camera (in that case, would be time for a new camera). Please see this link that may help you sort out which problem that your experiencing. If you can't fix it with the listed stuck shutter troubleshooting steps (give it at least ten tries), then it's likely a broken ribbon cable.

What is the time frame of sending the camera back for repairs, i saw the canon powershot a75 as a recall need address and and phone #

There is no timeframe for the A75, the advisory is still valid for your camera. However, your camera must be experiencing symptoms of CCD failure for Canon to honor the advisory. Please see this link for more info.

MY Pixma IP90v has an error message waste tank full. Can I fix that myself or do I have to take to a repair station?

It's time to replace 3's WASTE INK ABSORBER KIT & reset waste ink counter.
The WASTE INK ABSORBER KIT is approx. USD10/pcs
You should send it to service centre

My S2 IS displays a black screen and will not take a picture.

This model has problems with oil on the shutter blades. The camera needs to be torn completely down and the oil removed from the blades, this usually fixes the problem for good.. This is a complex repair & I would recommend sending it to a repair shop.

Thank you for the support group out there. The information you gave hit it right on the head. I downloaded and installed the firware update to version 1.02 and it really worked. I didn't have to spend 180.00 dollars to fix it. I'm glad I took the the time to look up and see if anybody else was experiencing the same problem. It looks like it is a problem a lot of people are experiencing with ths camera. Thank you all for posting your solutions it was a great help.
