One could unplug the power cord and take off the back metal panel. The turntable runs off a rubber belt. Be very careful as the capacitor holds one hell of a voltage. It is usually encased by a metal shield... but be very alert. Do not run the microwave with the cover off..

Almost certain if microwave still heats a bad motor or gear issue inside the unit--if unit will not heat the safety switch in the side that the door engages is the cause of the wheel or platter not turning--prevents unit from use if door open.
It is good that the microwave does not work all together. It might be an interlock button or even a relay connection burn on the main mother circuit board.
Need a qualified technician. The service manual will be like $20-50.
Does microvave button makes sound and when you start push button does the turn table moves. If yes for sound ,and no for turn table then you might have door switch which is either doesent latching or might broke. open oven (be sure to discharge capacitors). check its closing properly(the switch) and use DMM to check resistance that it doesn't show OL
First try to scratch out the plastic from the surfaces inside the microwave cavity. If that is not possible you will need to replace the parts. Most parts for microwave, including cabinet and casing are available from part sellers. Below a website showing several part sellers. If they do not find your model find a local part seller and call them. You can ask an exploded view of the part needed if you want.
Without more tests, I can't be completely positive but the turntable motor is the likely problem. That is part 1-4 on the list above. However, it could be a wiring problem with the wiring to the turntable motor.
Take off the case. You'll see two prongs on the door. If they are out of adjustment. And don't trip the contacts. nothing will work. Theres nothing mech on the turntable, the micowaves make it turn. Just make sure it turns freely, and is clean.
I would pop the back of the microwave cover off and check the fuses with a tester make sure that they are not blown. A lot of the time the connections will fry up as well. I have repaired a few microwaves in my time and usually something like that is a very simple fix.
