Laptop won't start-up

How old is the device? May be time for a new device? Has there been any electrical storms? Power surges? Tried different connecting cables? When you reset the device, hold reset for 30 secs., release, wait for selftest, unplug device for 30 secs., plug in, wait for selftest, connect with a Ethernet cable, reconfigure SSID and Security Key.

Could be many things. Let start with a couple of easy ones.1) Unplug charger from computer and outlet, take battery out press power for at least 30 sec. Plug every thing back power on. 2) charger bad won't turn on or charge battery, try diferent charger if don' know how to use a voltmeter. 3) power jack loose or broken. 4) last and worst mother board circuits transitors etc... btw processor, video card or input devices fried. Buy new board from ebay. Don,t fix it. Not worth it. This is Only if laptop gives completely sign of not turning at all. No lights, no hardrive or no working or fan. No signal of life. If couple of lights do turn on it can be the ram or video card, play with ram a bit. Good luck.

THE BATTERY LIFE TIMED OUT.TRY IT ON NEW BATTERY FOR TURNING ON THE SYSTEM.THE CHARGING ADAPTER MAY BR ALSO A PROBLEM TRY TO CHECK IT AC VOLTAGE LEVELS .

First 2 of your problems are due to the fact that your laptop enters hibernation (or hybrid sleep in windows 7) and windows cannot restore your last saved state. The 3rd problem indicates you have windows problems (bad/not updated drivers, filesystem corruption, application issues). I would suggest you to reinstall windows.

Laptops are so integrated that usually a system failure that involves power issues such as in your case where you cant get it turn on with anything on the screen mean the mainboard (motherboard) is damaged. This usually leads to buying a new laptop or paying for the board to be replaced which usually costs as much as the laptop.

> try some basic troubleshooting:
>remove the batt from the laptop
> unplug the ac adapter
>remove any external device from the laptop like usb....
>press and hold the power button for about 10 to 20 secs...
> plug the adapter and return the batt
>turn on the laptop....
> if this does'nt work its a possible mobo issue
> you can also try reseating the ram or the cables after this troubleshooting...

Take out the battery,
Remove main supply,
Hold power button down for 30 secs,
Put only power supply in, do not put battery in
Turn laptop on
Put the battery in.

you need to reset the lamp timer

Verify the connections are correct, The WAN port should be connected to the Cable/DSL modem. Then do a hard reset (hold in the reset button for 30 secs). If this doesn't work, try another router to isolate the problem.
