Everything seems to function normally, its just that the microwave doesn't. i.e. nothing gets heated up. All lights/controls function normally. 18 months old and little used.

You have to unscrew that five screws that hold the top and side casing. Two of the screws will require a torx screwdriver. Be careful when you access with the inner workings of the microwave. The bulb is held in place by two bent pieces of metal. Simply bend them open to allow the bulb to become free. Then replace the bulb and follow these steps in reverse.

Generally, the most common causes of a failure to heat are:
- bad door switches or door switch mounts
- loose connection at the magnetron
- problem or loose conneciton on the control unit circuit board

The turntable system consists of the motor, the coupler, the turntable support with rollers, and the tray.
You can see and hear a video of how a turntable motor should sound when you rotate it by hand.
If
yours is not set to be off via the control panel, and it won't rotate
or it sounds like it's grinding, etc., you may have a bad motor or
plastic coupler.
To
replace either, you need to unplug power, then remove the bottom cover
of the oven.
