Hello,
You have to unscrew that five screws that hold the top and side casing. Two of the screws will require a torx screwdriver. Be careful when you access with the inner workings of the microwave. The bulb is held in place by two bent pieces of metal. Simply bend them open to allow the bulb to become free. Then replace the bulb and follow these steps in reverse.

The turntable system consists of the motor, the coupler, the turntable support with rollers, and the tray.

You can see and hear a video of how a turntable motor should sound when you rotate it by hand.

If yours is not set to be off via the control panel, and it won't rotate or it sounds like it's grinding, etc., you may have a bad motor or plastic coupler.

To replace either, you need to unplug power, then remove the bottom cover of the oven.

For parts and service, you should contact Kenwood at the number in the owner's manual.

Most major manufacturers supply manuals online so if you were to log on to the manufacturer's web site, you may be pleasantly surprised as usually, if available, one is able to download, by model number, Customer Instruction Manuals, Dealer Network for spare part supplies as required.

The information is normally free of charge.

I hope this helps.

I have a kenwood microwave model GJ/SS25. The display does not illuminate but when you shine a torch into the display I can see the numerals very faint. Everything else works

I would be guessing that the display is liquid crystal from your description that a torch will show the numbers up. I would be therefore assuming that the display board would need replacing. You have to be very carefull if you intend opening the cabinet as there is a large capacitor in all microwaves that holds a charge which is capable of killing a person. Even when its been unplugged for days and longer. This can be discharged by shorting the capacitor terminals as long as you dont touch them. Go forth but dont come fifth.

How do i change the light bulb on a Kenwood Ken GJ/SS25 microwave

The cover has to come off the microwave to access the bulb. There are several screws around the back and sides. Remove these and the cover should lift off, revealing the bulb. For your own safety, make sure that the microwave has been unplugged from the outlet for several hours before attempting this repair.

Belling BEL-CJ/SS25 microwave

My Belling BEL-CJ/SS25 Microwave / oven / grill has recently developed a problem. Every time I close the door the turntable starts rotating, even when I'm not using it. It doesn't make a noise, and doesn't seem to be going into any cooking setting, and the light doesn't come on, but it turns until I open the door, when the light comes on and the turntable stops turning. This has only recently started happening, and nothing else seems to be wrong with it, Is this safe or should I get rid of it and buy a new one. The guarantee has expired so repair may be cost prohibitive.
