I was recently cooking in the kitchen when i dropped a glass usually that holds spices on my stove and cracked part of it. I have a Frigidaire Gallery series stove.
Whats the entire model number?? and you cracked the main top glass assy??? ill look up tha part for you, not a teribly hard job, but depending on glass may be expensive

Are you sure you put the right model number in? The RB526 doesn't have a glass top! Suggest you find the equipment id tag on your stove and then go to searspartsdirect.com and plug in the model number and search for the part you want.
NOTE: Sears is not usually the lowest priced place to buy from, BUT they use the real part number that you can do a search on to find a lower price. But since it is a glass cook top, sears has the in store delivery and pick up so that you can inspect for cracks and chips before accepting it.
You can buy just the glass for your glasstop stove. I too need to replace my glass...I have a whilpool electric glasstop. Its not cheap...may just buy new stove. I priced just the glass for my whilpool at the cheapest I can find for $320.00. Thats a lot. Mind you its not the elements under the glass..its just the glass! So...idk bout you, but a whole new stove might be my best option. If you want to price the glass for your model just keyword search your number and brand of stove and type replacement glass. GOODLUCK! :)
unfortunatley there is no way of repairing those. Even if you look at tops on the internet, they are usually about 1/3 of what the stove cost. Check your owners manual. Some of the tops are garunteed for 5 years from "accidental" cracks. That's about your best bet.
im sorry about that.i have replace many of those running around 400$,that a lot of money.i have see glass top stoves on sale 4 that much.and i think they all are about the same as quilty goes.God bless,tom
Check your warranty in the back of your use and care book. If the unit was manufactured prior to 1/1/06 it may have a five year part (not labor) warranty as long as you did not physically abuse it. The glass top comes as an assembled top (glass, the black seal, and the metal frame holding it)
Disconnect power. remove screws under the front edge of cook top. lift cook top and remove crossbars holding burners up against glass top. Unhook cook top / frame assemble. Install new top in reverse order.
