The Maxi-Cosi FamilyFix base is a European product designed for use with European model carseats.
The Mico is a USA model carseat and is not suitable for use in this base. You should use a Mico base if you are in USA / Use a European carseat if you are in Europe.

U can't mix LG DVD player from Europe with the USA LCD or any orther tvs, because European have different format regions. The format for European are PAL format. The US format are NTSC format. That why ur LCD tv said not supported.
Have you tried re-flashing the unit with the latest EU firmware update available from the JVC website? http://www.jvc-victor.co.jp/english/car/support/navi/nt1/eu/index.html Should overide the current firmware then allow you to use UK maps. If it doesn't work you can always reflash it with the USA update.
you have to change the DVD region setting of the machine to be able to play those european discs. Look for a code to make it region-free if you can. Just do search in the net you might be lucky.
