Fujifilm Finepix F470 play buttom doesn't work

I have Fujifilm Finepix F470 digital camera. While taking photos I can't use my green play buttom. By pressing it nothing happens. I already formatted memory card and reset camera's setting to manufacturer's default setting. Even removing memory card and taking photos without it problem remains. I have this camera for 6 years from new.Where is the problem?

Be sure you have formatted the card, not the internal memory (if the camera has that).
Be sure your battery is fully charged, so that the device can fuly write the file.
Be sure you are writing the file to the card, and not the internal memory, as there may not be enough space on it to write the file.
If this does not resolve the problem, let me know.

SOURCE: my DSE memory card says 'write protected'

Hi there, do this:
To fix this, remove the SD card from your camera. Look on the side and you will find a little switch. One end of the switch says locked the other end says unlocked. Move the switch from locked to unlocked. Replace it in your camera and turn it back on.

This is the classic symptom of a failed CCD sensor. The only fix is to have the sensor replaced, but as the camera is around six to seven years old now any repairs will not be cost effective and you will likely have trouble sourcing the parts as Fuji stopped making their 3MP sensor many years ago. New, old stock sensors may also have degraded to the point where they are either faulty straight out of the box, or will develop the same fault within a few months of being powered up.

Sorry, but your camera has reached the end of it's useful lifespan: five years is pretty good going for any digital camera and six to seven is really exceptional. Digital cameras simply do not last anywhere near as long as many of the film cameras which they replaced.

Your only real choice is to buy a replacement, but if all you need is a similar technical specification to your current model then there are plenty of cameras for less than £100 (around $175 in OzDosh) which will do at least as good a job as your present camera. Just don't expect a sub £100 camera to last anywhere near even five years though.

One other advantage of an update is that you'll finally be ditching the expensive and highly inferior xD memory cards which were basically repackaged and slightly tweaked SmartMedia cards. If you buy a new Fuji then you'll find that they all take SDHC cards now (back compatible with SD cards) although they often still accept xD cards as well.

Sorry I can't be more positive, but I hope that I've still helped you. All that I ask in return is that you take a moment to rate my answer.

I can't find the self timer on my fuji finepix av camera

Press cursor-down (marked with a one-handed clock), then choose the desired delay. Start the self-timer by pressing the shutter release button.

Full details are in the "Using the Self-Timer" section of the manual (page 31 in my copy). If you need a manual, you can download one at

How do I put date and time stamp on photos to print out for Fujifilm JV100?

Date and time stamp and only comes when you are shotting and your camera support this faction. When After shotting, the time stamp won't be removed from or add to your pictures by your camera. And it's sorry for that, this Fujifilm JV100 doesn't support this faction

I have horizontal lines across the screen of my fujifilm f470 camera. what would be the cause of this please

It's a faulty ccd. There are several comments on this website regarding this problem. If it's under warrantee you can return it but otherwise you either have to live with it until the whole thing dies (tapping it might help occasionally) or repair will cost around $100.
