If the sub was popping that either means the sub is getting to much power and blown that normaly happens when they pop, for the center speaker could check the wires maybe it came undone that could be a possibilty

No sound from center speaker or subwoofer on HT-R500 av receiver

Take a left or right speaker that you know works and connect it to the center and test. Repeat for the sub.

Are you sure you setup the AVR correctly that it knows you have a center and sub?

Why Onkyo HTS-9400THX: Front both and subwoofer not working.?

Try differnt speakers, if they do not produce sound, amp channels may be blown and then you need to take it to a shop.

Front speakers 5.1

Turn up the volume on the left or right speakers or turn down the center channel volume to meet your preferences. There should be a setting for that in most receivers.

No sound output from Center and Surround speakers

the only time the center and surround speakers put out sound is when it has a surround sound source such as a dvd etc. and only certain sounds come from them as well.

KAC-9102d no sound, Amp powers on but no sound to the subs.

If the sub isn't working, you won't get a pop. All you need is a small speaker. Don't need a sub, you just want to test the sound. I recently blew 2 subs, no smoke, no smell, no sign of being blown. Absolutely nothing from the subs.... In the past my sub locked up. You can take your sub out of the box and hook the + and - to the battery to see if you can get the sub to pop there. I believe a small box will push a sub into a deep excursion to the center of the cone. I have 2 lanzar VW12D's that just quit. I hooked a 6 x 9 up to my amp and low and behold I had sound! Try that and see what you get...

Center speaker

I had the exact same problem. In order to "almost" balance the center with the other channels I had to give the center +12db gain and the other channels -12db. So after I got that far with level calibration I tried some tv sound, well the center although was playing sounded like the highs were missing and a bit distorted. This is the good part, I turned the volume all the way up real fast, somewhere near max something fixed itself, the center became very loud. Now it works just like new. Hope this helps. BTW, the problem existed the same for sub channel, so when the center started working so did the sub.

Popping sounds

Hi! depending on the brans speaker, dunno, sometimes the heat , or eletric changes , damage the board for the sub, this came of pop sound suddenly, you have to replace the Subwofer. in any case. the satelite speakers you can keep it.
I presumme is a Sound Blaster set?
some models of sound blaster speakers, like 5600 and others, have some problems with pop sound on the sub. keep and eye on them.
good luck
