Kodak Easyshare DX7630 Can't Tranfer Pictures

Kodak easyshare dx7630 will not transfer pics to computer it seems like everything on the camera itself still works, but suddenly when i try to transfer pics, it keeps saying " no device connected, push button on printer dock ( which I do not have), and refresh. I thought maybe the USB cable needed replacing. I did that and still the same problem. When i hit add pictures from the kodak my albums page, my camera no longer appears in the location area of where to transfer from. I just did an uninstall of the easyshare software and did a clean reinstall of the latest version. When i go to synch and transfer manager, under the general tab, there is a blue shadow box on the dx7630 cam. picture, and i can't check off anything on that page, or under the info tab either, it's all greyed out. I am not using a memory card, and never have. I use internal memory and have never had a problem. i alo use windows XP if hat mkes any differnece. Please Help!

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa or Kodak's.

SOURCE: kodak easyshare dx7630 will not transfer pics to computer

If you remove the memory card from the camera then insert the memory into an USB memory card reader. Then connect this card reader into the USB port on your computer, the computer will see the memory card as an external storage device, open the folder and photos on the memory card and copy them to your computer.
